It depends on how he hurt it on whether you should wrap it or not. It also depends on where the injury is. Does it seem to be in the foot, or more in the hip? I would let him rest and not use it for 24 hours, and if he is still not using it by Monday, then I would take him into the vet as he might have done more damage than is apparent to the naked eye. Don't wrap anything though because that can make things worse. Hope this helps,
a: don't let him jump up on things or run around to much, this could irritate his leg more!
B: If an open wound-clean it daily-if not twice a day!

If it has been 4 - 5 days, your Vet needs to take an x-ray. The only first aid to do would have to have been done immediately - like icing it, for example. But if it fractured and you don't take the dog the Vet, you could cripple it for life!

There could be something in his paw, or the pad could be cut. If you didn't do something right away, and it is cut or there is something sharp in it, it could be infected by now.
Why don't you want to take it to the vet? That's your best bet if you can't tell what's wrong with it. If the dog's leg is hurt badly, helping it to lose weight will be very advantageous to prevent future injuries. Good luck.

TAKE that poor animal to the vet!!!! I don't care what your excuse is, your dog needs professional help. You have made him suffer for 5 days. Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Please take him to the vet.
