can i call him?

Question

when we talk on the phone, we talk for a LONG time, and he's called me first before, but idk if i should be calling him... i think to much

background of situation:
-we've been "together" for like a week and a half (in high school if that makes a difference)
-two times that ive called him, we talked for like five minutes and then he had to go but called me back a few hours later and talked for a LONG time
-each time he called me, i didnt have to go
-the past two times, i called him first and then he called me back

should he be calling me? or should i call him? cuz i wanna talk to him, but i dont wanna seem pushy or something
would that be annoying? am i thinking too much??

The fact that he can tell you that he has other things to do is good. It means his whole life isn't wrapped up in you. You don't want him to be too clingy. And the fact that he calls you back is great! Anyway, don't worry too much if he doesn't call you first, some people don't reach out as much as others but they still want to spend time with you and will make time when you reach out.

But you are probably a bit too worried. 2 or 3 phone calls in the first week is plenty, you can't spend every minute talking to him you've got to get your mind on something else or you will smoother him with too much attention.

Call him, isn’t that why he willingly gave you his number? If you call him and seem to have a good conversation together than don’t worry about whose turn is it to call. Just think of it this way: at least he is not ignoring you. For instance, I call my guy friend more than he calls me; I guess I have a lot to say most of the time. But on days that I’m busy and couldn’t talk, he ends up calling me.

call him, but you need to 'have to go' at sometimes. Or else your to easy. Sometimes when he calls you, do what he does to you, politely tell him you have to go, but call him back.

I'm wondering if he's got another girl, or doesn't want his friends to know about you. Maybe that's why he can never talk when you call... Maybe ask a couple questions, hinting you don't like he can never talk to you when your call. Don't flat out say it, because its possible he's just not supposed to talk on his cell phone so much, and his parents are always in the room when you call. Or he's watching his little sibling and can't talk until after they go to sleep...

Guys don't like to feel pressured to call, so sometimes calling them, letting them know that you WANT to talk them is a good thing, but only having been together for a week and having called him 2 times may be too much, guys like to lead, let them, but help them know when to. And you might want to try to cut back on the time you talk, I call me bf cause it's long distance and I have free long distance calling but he doesn't, I like to talk a lot, but after a while they get tired of talking, so try to limit it to only 15 to 20 minutes and he might like talking more often but less time each. Talking to long may take some of the mistery out of you to him, guys like girls that have mistery, so don't give out to much info at a time, let him get it slowly

Well more than likely he's not your future husband so don't stress on it. I think it's o.k. to call him but remember that males don't talk on the phone as much as we do and not for as long as we do to! Don't call him to much because that will chase him off. I still think it's more proper for guys to call; good that you noticed that when he calls you he's got more time and energy to spare...guys are like that. well it seems to me that he is kinda busy and that's why he had to call you back both times you called him, so i would let him call you when he can. of course you can call him if you want to but don't be the caller to many times, let him come to you, men like the chase anyway.

well its really simple... if you wanna talk to him, then call him! dont act like it is really gonna annoy him if you call... i dont know about other guys, but i love it when the girl calls me, it lets me know that she is thinking of me and really wants to talk.
