Id say you go after the guy. I mean if this other girl is one of your best friends then your probably going to want to talk it out with her first just to clear up any jealousy. But if you like this guy and hes in your grade why not try?

Hey! I am in 8th grade too! Sure we all have a crush on someone, but really in 8th grade were all around the age of like 13-15 yrs old. And so maybe you should just wait and see if he asks you out. Not to be rude, but everyone in my grade "Dates" but I think its kinda stupid cause when your 14 yrs old, and cant drive or date, I dont see where the realatioships could last soooo long. But if you like him, then you probably have a better chance with him than your 7th grade friend, unless this guy goes for younger women! LOL

not to sound all prudish but you really shouldnt date right now. yeah i know it is hard but you really need to focus on school. Hang out with friends and just be a teenager.most Boys, yes are visually appealing to look at and can be fun to date but getting in to relationships are tough at any age let alone yours. dating will only cause heart ache and drama but if you must talk it over with your friend as well as the guy see if he is interested in you or your friend but my guess is he is like every other boy and is into many girls so do what you think is best

Since neither of you will likely end up married to him I vote to keep the friendship and let her have him. You will probably go through 20 guys before you find the one. Dont ruin a friendship over it. But tell her next time you both like a guy it will be your turn.

If I were you I would let go of the guy and keep the friendship.There are plenty fish in the sea and not enough friends to go alone with.

i think it depends on who liked him first and who he likes. Just don't end your friendship over 1 guy! Guys come and go, but friends are forever. good luck.

i think you should talk to your friend and see what she say...does she know you like him...if she does and you don't want her to know you like him too just say what would you do if one of your friends like the same guy as you.....then you'll know her true feelings about the whole thing...good luck
