"For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame" (Hebrews 6:4-6).

God says that losing faith in God actually condemns you eternally, no second chances. Thus, it is worse than not at all. Then there's the fact that your punishment is much more than the "Hottentot in Africa" because you actually did know better.

It's not the matter of losing or never having any.One is just lost for a while and needs reassurance. That faith will help in the long run.

Depends on if your talking religious faith or just faith in general. Assuming you mean religious faith, I would think never having faith would be worse. At least if you had faith at one point, you'd have experienced both having faith and not having faith. Where as, if you never had faith, you will only have experienced half of what is possible.

I have a rather interesting way of thinking on this.
Faith is a gift 1 cor. 12
Eh 2:8
God is my Savior.
Salvation is a gift.
The gifts and the calling are irrevocable
ro 11:29
God is the God Shepherd. ps 23
It is God's job to keep me saved and keep the faith he gave me going. Once you have received the real gift of faith you will not lose it. Sometimes it gets strained. Sometimes there are doubts, but it never goes fully away.

As to your question:
I would say never having any.

losing faith means you have realized the truth
never having any means you never had the chance to experience being religious...

i think losing faith is better without implying that never having one is worse.

Losing faith is worse. If you never had faith then you have nothing to lose.

Best piece of advice anyone gave me was this:
- Respect God but do not rely on him.
Thus, faith I don't think faith is something that God wants people to have. God rewards those who make things happen. Think about it, why would God want you to come here, and just rely on him?

Faith, or belief is not as importent as doing something.

Losing faith... because that means you had some to begin with.

The loss of faith is far worse to the Lord.

Matthew 18:6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
