German Kaffeeklatsch in Portland, OR ?

Question

My husband and I recently moved to Portland, OR. Is there such a thing as a Kaffeeklatsch for German ladies (50-ish) where we can talk in German ? I find myself forgetting more and more words, and would like to do something about it. If you are in the same boat, let me know.

If you haven't thought to ask a the local German restaurants, they might know of a CoffeeClutch in your area (http://www.insiderpages.com/s/OR/Portland/GermanRestaurants). Another idea is to check with the local High Schools and see who is teaching their German classes (the teachers would enjoy a good conversation) and also check with these four ladies at Lewis and Clark College (http://www.lclark.edu/dept/german/faculty.html). I'm sure they would love to include you in their group. If nothing else, Barbel Obermeier appears to be a native of Muchen/Munich and I'm sure you could communicate by e-mail if nothing else.
