Chili is really cheap. It consists mostly of beans (cheap), ground beef (also cheap) and various canned tomato products (again, cheap). It's also super-filling, so a batch of it will last a while.

Get 1 package of Ramen noodles ($0.13), one can of chunk Tuna ($0.69) and some stuff you probably already have in the fridge below.

Cook the noodles, drain the water and add the flavor packet. Add 1-2 teaspoons of mayonaise, 2 slice of cheese, and mix in Tuna. Add a little hot sauce.

That is cheap....really cheap! and delicious!!

Now, take a spoon and take a scoop of the dip and put on a Saltine cracker.....You can eat this as a meal and it is not bad for you at all.

spaghetti or tacos. I guess anything with ground beef would be cheap. Burgers or meatloaf. You can buy a small beef roast and some potatoes and carrots and onions, and add some rolls for a great dinner for about 10 bucks. Go to foodnetwork.com for some great recipes. And watch the foodnetwork if you have it and you will come up with all kinds of great ideas from watching the shows. Some of them even oriented toward economic cooking.

1. Cook a bag of beans with bacon bits for seasoning...
2.Boil a chicken back with onion, salt, and pepper. Debone. Add noodles.
3.Saute a 50 cent package of shaved ham in butter with chopped onion. Mix into a box of cooked macaroni and cheese.

I am a student with a budget and not a lot of time, and I LOVE stir fry. All you need is whatever you want to put in it...I usually put chicken and broccoli. It's great because you can put pretty much whatever in it, which is a great way to use left overs! I use the recipe below, and usually make half...then I have dinner, lunch and sometimes dinner again with the same meal! Reheats beautifully!

Raemen noodles, mac and cheese, bologna sandwich.

I know I know, bad joke.

Try www.foodnetwork.com Or watch Rachael Ray on 30 minute meals on food tv. Plus her recipes are on that web site.
