I noticed the other day my left ear hurts. Not bad enough to really notice it. But when I take a drink of something (especially something cold) my ear hurts really bad. Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong with it?

ooh, i hate to say this but i just put out a question, about handling pain. Do u have a cold??? Cause it could be a sinus infection. Can u hear?? Cause this is what happened to me, my ear drum ruptured.Try tugging on it, because it could be swimmers ear. Or possibly an ear infection

Hope u get better!

The inner ear drains through a little tube called the eustachian tube which empties into the nose/sinus. If it is clogged, you will feel pressure or pain in the ear. When it clogs, people will often try to "pop" their ear by moving their jaw, chewing gum or taking a drink. I would suspect you have either a cold, sinus infection, or an ear infection. If you are otherwise healthy and have normal blood pressure, you can try a decongestant like Sudafed. If this doesn't help, get the ear looked at - if it is an infection, then an antibiotic is warranted.
