Thank you! It really isn't important but I like to ask why they do believe in a certain religion any way.

Why we asking such question? Because we are humans, we need to know what going on on this planet. We just can't just sit right there, on the chair, chit chating, like nothing had happen.
And also, we are living creature who are hungry to learn know new things since the day we are born.
If humans dont ask, what would you think we will be doing? If dont ask question, you never learn anything. If one day, an alien/god/divine being come to earth and ask the same thing, what would you answer?...

Its a "right" or "wrong" thing between religion and science. IF one is Right then the other is surly Wrong. If the religious rite is wrong then there entire faith floats on nothing! They are forced to fight science I suppose...They would probably do better to blend their ideas & theories as I find TRUTH is always found in the middle, never on the far end of any spectrum.

Why is it important for you to want everyone else not to care? Some search for deeper meaning to life and some live care free for the moment. Lets just accept that in this world there are all types.

It is basic human nature to question our existence and its greater significance. This is one thing that sets us apart from other lifeforms on the planet (to our knowledge). This doesn't imply that we are smarter, just different in this regard. You know this already, though, didn't you? Now that you think about it....

Complacency impedes scientific progress. It is better to search for answers than wallow in ignorance, because as long as people are doing that, there will be people jumping in to ascribe everything that is not yet understood to the god of the gaps.

i don't know if it's right to say 'why do you care'
i think it's a matter of accepting we don't know, and there doesn't have to be a reason.
believers seem to have a problem with this concept of there is no reason, though they are quite happy for the questioning of 'why' to stop when it comes to gods actions.
