For me it's usefulness first, is it something I really need and how will I use it? Aesthetics next, it has to look good and go with the style of my home, finally price, if I really like it and it works with my home I will pay pretty much whatever it costs to get it.

Pretty is nice but then there is my husband who likes camo-so I traded in my roses and he traded in his camo for a compromise which ended up being the best thing we ever did. We bought an entire set of Southwestern couch with 2 recliners and love seat rocker with 2 recliners and a coffee table that comes up and makes a table. We bought this 15 yrs ago, it a Berkline and they guarentee their mechanical parts for life. Keep the receipt and records. We have replaced 2 recliner parts already. So we ended up with both. I still love it and he still reclines in it.
