I would say God must have a big plan for you and is scaring the daylights out of Lucifer who is afraid you may be a big blessing to others in Jesus name. Satan has diciples everywhere and I tell you this, any time we have a thought, a look, a word, or anything that makes another person feel devalued, then we have stepped right into Satan's service. There is warfare going on and we are either in God's army or Satan's. Also, Satan does not have to work overtime in unsavory environments because he already has them...he works hardest where so called good people are supposed to hang out. I always try and remember mother Theresa's words..."I didn't do it for them...I did it for Him". When we first start out in life we are totally self-involved. As we grow parents and society teaches us to share which requires feed back from them and anyone we share with. When we have really arrived is when anything we do for others is really for Him. That eliminates a good many problems because when it is for Him it requires no feed-back, so, there are no hurt feelings if people don't respond the way we would like. Have a good one and I hope you feel better. Mmm

I realized a long time ago that I was not going to find saints in Church. Everyone should be there because they know THEY need it and not care about other people because they will hurt your feelings and all kinds of stuff. We are people and people bug other people. That's the thing, we have to rise above the little hurts and forgive because we all got things that bug other people and we all say things that are either misunderstood or downright rude because you were sick or in a bad mood or something. I really think it is much easier to do a drive by nice thing to a stranger then to continually put up with the human nature little quibbles we all have all the time. The little stop and help the stranger is nice but, you will never see that person again to have to overlook the stuff that drives us nuts from day to day so yea, it's tough but, just keep fighting the good fight.

All the time.
It happens just about every Bible study.
There are people there that just want a night out. A social event, they are not Christians.
There are baby Christians there, they think they know everything. They cut in on conversations.
There are the religious there, they have been in the church for 50 years. Leagalists--the law. Don't laugh, don't be happy. Whatever you do, don't come in with wine on your breath. Oh my God.
You had some wine with your supper.
Then there is the old cliche'ers " Don't be so heavenly minded that you are of no earthly good". Then there are the people who just are offensive by themselves, it just rolls off their tongues, they don't even have to try. It is natural to them.
Does it get to you? you bet.
Would you like to take a whack now and then, yeah but you don't.
How many churches, a lot.
Why, cause people are people. We are not perfect yet. Me included. Sometimes I can be a real pain. Ask my wife. She is the saint, she lives with me.

There are many times when people say things that could hurt your feelings, if you allow it. It is not always malicious or meant to hurt, sometimes we say things without thinking. Not to excuse it but we are not perfect human beings. Do not expect perfection from your fellow human beings, church members or not. How can this test your faith in God? He is perfect and we only need to look to Him to love us and help us grow in faith. You might ask yourself "Why did that hurt me?" What is it about me that caused me to feel hurt? It can help you get the perspective off your perceived injury and understand yourself and why you felt attacked, threatened, etc in light of someone elses act, comment or gesture.

There will be times that a church member may hurt you...the question is did they know they hurt you?...so many things can be said about this.

In the the book of Hebrews it says..10:24.... And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works....
1st to consider one another means to be considerate of how the other feels
2nd to provoke means (has several meanings) a-to excite to some action or feeling B-to anger irratate or annoy C- to stir up and D- to call forth, evoke.

Basically what happens is some brother or sister may unintentionally or intentionally do something to annoy you or call forth, excite you, or anger you. He or she has to be mindful of you in doing this...and it will or should cause them to consider you and how it effected you. In love they will seek forgiveness and repent themselves. As for you it should in you also make you consider them and cause you to repent and ask for forgiveness and that is what a good work is. Considering what the word says in Isaiah "our righteousnesses are as filthy rags before him"....Then a good work is not a deed done before God but rather the one thing that God recognizes and that is a humble contrite heart...So believe it or not this process goes on all the time....And thank God because God has a way to help us See our own heart....He already knows our heart ..but he has to get you to see it so you can reconcile it before him....everytime you see something ...and it is not Christ like ...Give it to him...offer it to him...because He is the only one who can do away with the evil that's hidden in there....God bless

Yes, many. You see, church members are sinners too, saved by grace by a loving and patient God. And some, of course, ere possib ly never saved - but that is for God to know, not for us to judge. Concentrate on those who are loving, and ignore the others. Think of all the love God has brought into your life.

Yes, but you can't let it affect your faith. Remember, Jesus said the wheat and the weeds will grow together until the harvest (Matthew 13:24-30).

I concur. But remember, there is only one Man who walked this earth and did not sin. Right now that Man is sitting down at the Right Hand of God. We all sin and come short of the Glory of God. But as a human, you are correct. It can rock you to your very core. God is still God. No matter what those who call His Name do. May God Bless U.

Sure, of course. We may be Christians, but we are still imperfect people. We will sin & make mistakes until Jesus comes for us. The thing I dislike most is when christians gossip or say hateful things - we need to be gentle and wise. :)

It can happen anywhere, but don't give them the satisfaction of winning. Forgive and find a nicer church. God bless you.
