My 4 year old starts on friday and for some reason I feel sad! I have not shown him how I feel and I am so proud of him. Just wondering if any other mums and dads got sad? I will miss him so much!

Oh hon, it's so natural to feel sad. You're sending your baby into the world and you won't be there to protect them. It's not easy at all. We all felt sad whent hey went off to preschool. Just know he will be scared and unsure. Be there to show him how wonderful school is and he will enjoy school from the start. I'm mom to 3 and this year my youngest moved to kindgergarten. I was extremely sad.

I felt really proud! I was a little sad, but it is only like 2 hours a day, and it really is a lot of fun for the little ones. Sad is when he goes off to college!!

YiiHAA!! I had time to myself. I went shopping alone called a friend for coffee and had a ball. If you show your little one your upset they'll be upset too and will not want you to leave. I treated it like a big adventure for us both. But I did find I was more upset when my youngest started High School. I felt so old.

It was a mix feeling for me when I send my 3 yr old off to school on the first day. I was excited the day before that my lil gal was going to school. I was nervous on the way, worried that she will cry & I was the proudest mum when she kissed me goodbye b4 she entered her class while other children are crying for their mum. All the best!

I was totally sad! I had noone to hang out with! But in time it got easier, and onceI started collecting the things that he made in school, it was awesome,I looked forward to him coming home, so I would have more art for my walls!
