Many things. Hormonal changes during pregnancy. Douching too often. Starting your period. Wearing clothing that doesn't breathe or is too tight. Antibiotics, birth control pills...many things. Yeast infections happen when the yeast that is naturally in your body, overproduces because the natural microorganisms that normally control that, diminish.

Yeast infections can also occur in men who are uncircumcised, in the mouth (thrush) and in a baby's diaper area.

Most yeast infections, believe it or not, are caused from wiping your bottom, back to front. The area gets contaminated from bacteria from your stools, and because sometimes we do not wash, bathe of shower often enough, it begins to "percolate" as yeast rises in a bowl to make bread. So wipe front to back, do two or three clean wipes, and wash, shower, bathe at least every two to three days minimum

Bacteria in the gastro -intestinal tract.

Mangosteen juice kills the yeast bacteria, along with many others in the gut.

Mangosteen is capable of reducing allergic response and stomach acid, as well as protecting the stomach lining from acid damage.

Mangosteen has acid-lowering effects, anti-oxident effects, anti- inflammatory effects and NO major side effects.

Drugs are dangerous and foods, as supplements, are not!

Also, if U douche too often, it messes up the ph.

People on this site will tell u to eat yogurt, however, when u discover you have an infection, it is too late.

Try to eat yogurt during this course of the week when u dont have the prob.

Over the counter monostat will cure.

I think it is when that special place gets irratated or infected, and that is caused by leaving a tampon in for a long period of time. Either that, or something has gotten in it that is not supposed to bve there.

I'm a nurse. This is common in us women. It could be caused from bubble bath, to wearing jeans with no under wear. It is treatable and many women deal with this on a regular basis, some more than others. I hope this is useful to you.
