Crayons are good--make sure he knows to color only on paper!

Another idea: You could let him to pretend to cook with some of your pots and pans. My son loves this! But he doesn't buy it unless I put a little water in one of the pots.

You could also get a bunch of old clothes, hats, and shoes, and he can dress-up.

1. set up a tent made out of sheets for him.

2. get a some big cardboard boxes and cut the bottoms out and let him crawl through them. It will keep him entertained for hours.

3. Make him a pirate ship out of a box.

4. Simple yet effective... coloring book.

5. Fill up a tub with water, set it on a towel, get him some toy boats, and let him play.

6. Get him some fake tools and let him run around the house "fixing" things. If he runs out of things to "fix" tell him the stairs are broken.

7. Go to a dollar store and buy him an set of plastic golf clubs. Then get him a plastic golf ball and let him play with it in the basement or somewhere where he can't break anything.

8. Find picture of him when he was little, laminate them, and give them to him. He will look at them over and over again. It will never cease to amaze him. (If you really want to keep him busy, get doubles of them and let him match them up.)

9. Bring down some of your old t-shirts and tennis shoes and let him try them on.

10. Get some socks that arr rolled up into a ball, grab a laundry basket and let him play basketball with it.

11. Get him some cheap teddy bears. Cut off an arm, make a rip in one, take off an eye, ect. Then let him "doctor" the bear to make it feel better with a play doctor kit.

12. Color Wonder fingerpaints. You can let him paint right by you, even on carpet, and he will never make a mess. It is clear paint that only makes colors on the special Color Wonder paper.

13. Go out and buy him like fifteen Hotwheels at Walmart. (They are 97 cents each). Then get a peice of wood or a big book and make him a ramp. He will love letting them roll down and chasing after them.

If I were you, I wouldn't do the Playdoh thing. No matter how much fun it is, it's a pain in the butt to clean up. Plus, for some reason, little kids love eating it.

She enjoyed getting water in all places mutually as she washed the refrigerator (and sucked water out of the sponge) and whilst she have been given bored, we mopped the floor. Then I gave her some enjoying cards and she or he performed enjoying cards with my cat (she might throw the enjoying cards down and the cat might grab them). heavily, if she could experience that she has an substantial place in assisting Mommy shelter toddlers grimy outfits or assisting fill the washer, issues like that, she gets the theory she's no longer the only one in a robust way. it is not in any respect too early to instruct teamwork and cooperation.
