Can someone please tell me Who left the USA in Charge of our GLOBE and made them the head POLICEMEN. If it wasn't for the germans the US would not have the WMD that is has today.

Why does the US think it's way is the best way to live?

Again the crap comes thick, it is sad that the US is going the way it is, you used to be the Nation that we all looked up to, Now your the Nation we all LOOK OUT FOR, the whole world see's your true colours, one year your friends with a Nation and or ruler, the next your sending in troops to kill them. Soon you will have no friends left around the world, yes they will say they are friends of the US but deep down your a pack of liars and theives, That is your government down to a tee. It will be the public that pay the price, the Heads of State will be deep underground playing with their organs whilst the rest of you fry like chickens At KFC

Last man standing of the Cold War Superpowers.

Bush saw his dad as CIA head during communism's callapsing years. Daddy later was V.Pres when Ronny Raygun ... er, Reagan pulled back the runaway problems Jimmy Carter left behind (10 countries became communist during his short reign).
Daddy became Pres and finished the millenium off with a last war, The Gulf War. He had a goal and when they reached it, he declared victory and pulled troops out. That war was about 43 days long.
Now, Pres Bush Jr gives out foreign policy Texas style:
"This town ain't big enough for both of us. One of us has got to go."

You act like the USA is some all-powerful behemoth that can just dictate its will to the world. We're having trouble just keeping some under-educated, unwashed Islama-fascist thugs in line. That doesn't sound like we're some sort of Superman, does it?

Do you think Americans like having to be the world's policeman, and often times its babysitter? We'd like to be irresponsible and carefree like France, but someone has to be the adult. Someone has to defend the defenseless.

An interesting study done a few years ago showed that the comic book character most Americans likened the U.S. to is Superman. Most foreigners categorized the U.S. like Batman: dark, brooding, not quite working within the law, but a kind of renegade working outside the traditional boundaries.

Ronald Reagan spoke of the United States as a "shining city on a hill", a beacon of hope for people around the world. We have done a lot to free the world from tyranny. Reagan won the Cold War, and now Bush is trying to defeat the Islama-Fascists.

So, give us a break. We're doing the best we can. By the way, if you really from Australia, let me say that your country is one of the very, very few left that has any "cojones". If you don't know what that means, it's a compliment, trust me.

Hi Aussie 1,
I think I understand the premise of your question. I think what you're asking is, who died and left America in charge. Well I think the rest of the world did. Can you imagine what things would have been like had not America stepped up to the plate? All over the world in recent history when things are going badly, who does the world appeal to, France, China, Russia, Cuba, Egypt,Iran, South America, Africa, Vietnam, etc., I think not. I don't think America asked for this standing in the world or maybe it did. The fact is whether one likes it or not until a more desirable country comes along to help when asked can you suggest anyone else? Also even with all our problems, why do you suppose so many of the worlds people try to get here. It amazes me that so many people that complain about America, secretly have a dying ambition to get here and get rich, how hypocritical.

Unfortunately, it is country's probably like yours that allow to turn a deafened ear or blind themselves to worlds humanitarian crisis, and cries of desperation. People who want to live in harmony, free of oppression and tyranny. Have been the influential factors in the US involvement around the world. Funny how people won't ask why other dominating countries (Russia, Japan, China...etc,) are sidelining themselves from these atrocities. They actually look at the financial implications rather then the humanitarian successes in these crisis(and I don't mean ALL crisis).

Not to mention the USA financial and political stature in the world today. The US have been seen as liberators from those that succeeded after US intervention and assistance. We help more in silent broker-ship of peace, then any will ascertain to admit.

I would like to know who DID leave the US in charge. I know that I did 20 years floating around going around the planet for one conflict or another, and I got tired of it. I know that I have a lot of friends that have deployed that I'd rather see here at home. I know that I am tired of my country paying 27% of the UN's peacekeeping budget, only to have our troops asked to augment them, or to relieve them altogether when they give up or can't get it done. I know that I'm tired of seeing Americans sent all over the world to quell a conflict here, a civil war there... I would love to have back all the money the US has given away or "loaned" to other countries, just since WW2. Britain only took 65 years to pay back their loan; Germany and Japan still owe. I wish we could have that money to help our own farmers, so they can continue to serve as one of the world's largest breadbaskets. I wish we could have that money for disaster relief and recovery. I wish some other country would step up and take the watch. I know there are a butt-ton of American troops world-wide that would love it if your country, or someone else's would come relieve them, so they could come home. Just like the kids down the street with drunk or drug addicted parents don't ask for you to take care of them, you know that if you don't, they will starve, or get into something they shouldn't, or end up killing themselves. So you help, because everyone else just looks out their windows and says "It's too bad about them." So the US cares for the world, while the rest of you look out your windows. No one asks, they only expect. So, to quote Jack Nicholson's character Col. Jessup from A Few Good Men: "I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very freedom that I provide, and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way." By the way, you are welcome.

USA have the worst external politics in all world, and like police is a big failure, the war in Iraq show to us the disorder and the poor intelligence of the USA organisms.

If you think the USA is the unique Super Power in planet, what I can say only observing the recent history is that this affirmation is a big lie, after billions of dollars in one unproductive war USA can't understand that the war against Iraq is lost, and the reason is because the American people can't understand other people.

No one country can force culture or political regime to other people, may show, may propose, never force.

The world don't need USA to solve internal problems of other countries, UN have much more value than USA in questions involving countries, maybe not for Americans, but certainly to the world, only with the support of who understand the problem the solution can be reach, USA have one particular vision about the world problems and the biggest mistake is that the USA government never make decisions in impartial ways, and can't be the judge of the globe, because can't have one global view about problems.

One good thing to know is understand that USA have no power to control the world, and never will have, and day by day is losing respect, Iraq is the biggest example, Iraq was a country with starving people (remember oil for food program), with years of intervention, with weak army, and until today is giving problem to USA, Iran challenge USA, North Korea too, a lot of countries have nuclear weapon and others can make nuclear weapon in a few time, so USA have no moral, economic, military or any other condition to control the world, maybe the Americans can think that they have the power, but is only a big illusion, and like police USA is so far to be efficient.

Americans have distorted vision about the real importance of USA to world peace. A lot of people all around the world want to be American citizen by economic reason, but much more people hate USA for political reason.

No one is calling USA for help, sometimes call for UN, because the world don't want intervention, and don't want unilateral decisions, every nation need to participate in the world destiny, and USA is only one country, only part, not all globe.

I'm not sure. Maybe you should ask the millions of people from all over the globe who are trying to become US citizens. There must be something here they like. You see, the USA was largely formed by people wanting to come here instead of people being sent to a prison colony like a certain island wasteland.

Well other than the fact that were LOADED financially and have the greatest military since the begining of time, nobody put us in charge.

But someone has to be a leader. Just be glad its the US and not North Korea.

All you butt heads got pushed to the curb and we are the only nation that is willing to fight for what is right. You want to play your stupid games and we are serious. Someday when people like you are goosestepping to some tyrant you'll cry for the help of the USA and hopefully we'll remember our friends and our enemies.
