They had a common opponent in Hurrican Jackson. Jackson beat Charles but Patterson beat Jackson. Logically you would think Patterson would be able to beat Charles. People thought Foreman would beat Ali. I am picking Charles by decision in this fight.

This would've been an interesting fight. It's actually a pick-'em fight. Patterson had an edge in power and speed. Charles had the edge in stamina and chin. This fight would definitely go the distance. Ezzard Charles would have the resistance to outlast Patterson. Patterson, on the other hand, was more talented. I think Floyd would be looking to pile on points and Charles would be looking to counter.
This fight would end with a majority decision. I see the scorecards(ten point-must system) reading: 114-112,Patterson; 115-114,Patterson; and 113-113.

We did this already. Charles wins quite. Patterson would by no ability have long previous existence and loss of life with Marciano the way Ezzard Charles did. Floyd Patterson is between the main hyped up champions in all of boxing. Ezzard comes on the component of him in velocity and ought to have a mushy facet in ability. the massive distinction is who takes a greater valuable punch. Patterson does not come close to Ezzard in that regard. Patterson's palms are rapid yet no longer his feet so he won't be going everywhere. Patterson is likewise no longer the KO artist some look to think of he's. He did hit Ingo "on the button" and left his foot quivering. It became right into a prefect shot yet all people would be harm if hit top, exceedingly if he does not take a punch nicely at the beginning. Ingo's "Hammer of THOR" became into by no ability matched by ability of his "Jaw of Glass" Charles would quickly study that Patterson can not heavily harm him. He would start to p.c.. Floyd aside and take administration in the middle rounds. Charles by ability of KO in 9
