Parents don't have the right to try to control the sexual orientation of their children. It isn't like it can be controlled anyway. I would be more concerned about making sure that my kids, gay or straight, were sexually responsible.

They don't have any religious convictions and believe that they are being politically correct. It not that the parents allow their kids to be gay, they are just okay with it.
As a Chrisitian, I would not be okay with it. I would make sure that my kids knew what the Word of God says about their lifestyle so that there would be no pretending there. I would always love my kids, and be there for them, but at the same time I would voice my disapproval. I would do the same thing if I found out my kid was having an adulterous affair. Sexual sin is sexual sin and it is to be renounced.

I don't think it is a question as to whether all parents allow their kids to be anything. The only thing we can do is teach our kids and rear the best we can. What they do when they grow up are often times out of our hands. All of our children do things we did not teach them nor condone. The same way we did when we were growing up. I know I did some things my parents not only did not teach me but I sneaked and did it because I know that if they found out, they would have killed me, literally probably. May God Bless U.

I don't see how parents have any choice in the matter. This is like asking why do parents allow their kids to be atheist. Parents can punish, bribe, coerce all they want but in the long run a kid believes what s/he desires to.
Not to mention that being gay is inherently biological, so this question is also tantamount to asking "Why do parents allow their kids to have blue eyes?"

Why not? Are their children not allowed to express themselves? That like a parent stopping their child from being punk or emo. They will just have to learn to live with it. Its not like they will change back or anything plus this creates a larger wall between the parents and the kids.

Same reason some parents do not discourage their children from having premarital sex, drinking alcohol, smoking cigarettes, etc.
In fact some parents seem to encourage some of the above by supplying their children with contraceptive or money to buy the products when they go out with friends.
Of course another big reason is that most parents today are not religious or at least do not practice their religion so their kids grow up with out a concept of morality that invokes consequences.
"Do as I say, not as I do" doesn't work.

Every embryo is initially female, and approximately one third become male when testosterone is introduced at a certain phase in the developement of the fetus. One in every 500,000 female embryos are immune to testosterone, causing a condition known as malepseudohermaphoriditism, the rest become male.
They become male because one part of the X chromosome breaks off and turns it into a Y chromosome.
Sometimes it doesn't break off completely, and you get a male who's attracted to other men, or vice versa.
By punishing a child for their sexual orintation, you only cause them emotional damage, and sometimes they may actually become an outright sociopath. You should love and accept your children, or else do them a favor and get your tubes tied before you have them.

Because, the parents don't have a choice in it. Sometimes, the kids just choose it, and there is nothing the parents can do about it. Just like anytime a child rebels, the parents can't stop it.

The parents don't allow the child to be gay, they can only accept it. Gay children are born being gay not made. scientifically proven.

What type of question is that? People are born gay, and shouldn't be punished for something that they have no control over. Plus, the job of a parent is to love their kid unconditionally, no matter what.
