My sister borrowed my car and took it in to have the oil changed for me, the place is over 100 miles away, so I don't want to go back, I just want to reset it.

its in your owners manual in case this doesnt work , but i have a 2007 camry and a 2006 Tundra and they both reset the same .
to do so turn the key on. dont necesarily have to start the car just as long the key is on. Ok now on your mileage odometer select trip A and hold it down, while doing so switch the key off and back on it will start blinking release the button and it will be reset, for some reason this doesn't work then repeat the same in TRIP B mode i am not sure but have been told some models may vary on trip A or trip B So try A if this doesn't help you try B . Good luck and enjoy your New car.. And great choice never drove a Yaris but it's a Toyota so its the best in its class. take care...

First, make sure your odometer shows your mileage and not Trip A or Trip B mileage. Next, turn the key off. Now push down and hold the odometer button by the gauges. Turn the key to the ON position and keep holding the odometer button. The maint. required light will flash and then go out. This means the light is reset.

If she also put gas in the car while she had it (she drove a 200 mile round trip), then the light may be on because the gas cap was not reinstalled correctly after fueling. Remove the gas cap, then replace it, making sure it makes that click when you tighten it.

i do hold on let me think...
ok got it
turn key on, make sure your odometer is on trip "A" or "B"
turn key off, hold in odometer, turn key back on (still holding OD in)
watch OD flash, when all 0's appear (00000000) done.

Take it back to them and have them do it. It is still under warranty.
