On Saturday I bought my kids a duck for a pet and Sunday my wife served it to some guests we had over. How do I tell my children what their Mom did.

Tell them that the duckie ran away
~he/she moved
~had to visit his/her family
~get a 2nd duckie
~duckie went on a vacation
~was stolen
~duckie was lonely and found a girl/boy duckie got married and moved away

Uh say it ran away or it got sick and freinds (from whatever stae)are taking care of it or some one stole it.
