I have an hour of yoga at 12pm on thursdays...right before lunchtime. I am always really hungry right after. What is the best thing to eat after doing yoga? Any suggestions? I've been eating these fruit and date bars called 'larabars' but would carbs be better?

Fruits are carbs. Try a protein bar with at least 200 calories, and with 10-15 grams of protein. The protein is good after a work-out and will also keep you full for longer.

A peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Peanut butter is a great energy food, and they are jummy with a glass of milk.

other suggestions: baked potato, salad, lean turkey sandwich, fruit salad with yogurt, or a lean pocket.

Carbs aren't as bad as they are made out to be. If you are doing pleny of excersise then there is nothing wrong with you eating them. The more excersise you do the more carbs your body will need. You really need to eat more though. After that workout your body will need a little more than what you have been eating.

Eat a fruit salad and a cup of low fat or fat free yogurt.

The fruit will give you vitamins and fiber, and the yogurt will give you calcium, protein and carbs.

I always enjoy a fruit salad of cantaloupe, grapes, honeydew melon, kiwis, strawberries, and a cut up banana. But your fruit salad can have whatever fruits you desire.

Make a shake with frozen banana, soy milk and protein powder like Spirutein vanilla, yummy, smooth and lite and easy to digest.

A whole apple works well before I work out. It has the liquid you need plus the solids too. Keep it simple or you will get nauseous.
