Unfinished business. He is growing up and wants to right a wrong. I'd encourage him, in hope that he would step up and do the same if he ever hurt me.

It means he is wanting to take responsiblity for the wrong doing that occurred in the past. He may have blamed his ex but now accepts the responsibility that he caused. I would also encourage it..it shows maturity on his part!
You may be in fear that he is trying to reconsile with her but I would not worry. Why would he tell you this if he wanted to get back with her? Do not worry about it..good luck!

then that's all he want to do, make peace. i don't think it means anything else. both of them would know that they no longer have feelings for eachother and making peace would just mean that there's no weight on anybody's shoulders. the less weight there is, the more focus on you.

If i was you i would keep a close eye on him or he may have you both on the go but don't be to over the top or you may get hurt
