Well, if you are the Baber Malik I think you are, then you have been going to an Islamic school for the past 11 years, and so you probably know the answer to your own question. Now, supposing you aren't the Baber Malik I think you are, I will answer your question.
There's something we call Sabr, which is an Arabic word that most people roughly translate as "patience". However, Sabr has a far more extensive meaning. Sabr is patience, perseverence, determination, endurance, forbearance, steadfastness, fortitude, and constancy. If you want to keep your faith strong in today's environment, you have to train your heart and mind to always, always, ALWAYS have Sabr.
Some difficulties that I (as well as many of my friends) face is wearing the hijab. Now, you'll never face this problem, because you're a boy, but that's not the point here. I hate going to the mall and having this gang of buff hispanic boys narrow their eyes at me like a cat getting ready to pounce. I hate it when I do things as small as check the mail, and hear the other neighborhood kids whisper to eachother, "Oh, look--it's that Muslim girl again." I could very well tear the hijab off my head and throw it off to the side, but I don't, because I know that the reward God will give me in the next life is far better then anything anyone can give me here.
I hope I helped answer your question to the best of my abilities.
Ash-hadu anna LA ILAHA ILLA ALLAH, WAHDAHU LA SHARIKA LAH, wa Ash-hadu anna MUHAMMADAN ABDUHU WA RASOOLUHU.

Yes Baber, you are a very smart person for asking this question. I too believe that Muslims are misunderstood in America 2day. Like ppl think that they are terrorists and dont quite understand y they pray and fast and all of the things like this. I think you should preach to them and tell them information about their religion. I mean this Mary-Kate person and this op3nMinded ppl are anythin but opne minded. They do not even know about Islam yet the op3nminded guy is cursing ur prophet at the bottom.
O by they way, tell this Ayah S person that you r a Muslim!!!!!!!!! I am well aware that she knows that you are Muslim but just to clear things up a bit, maybe she meant it for the other ppl. Most likely she did.
Islam truly is a religion of peace. You cannot judge it by the few individuals who have astrayed (some of the ppl that commented). Read what my friend Javish aka Jawaad wrote (i told him some of that stuff) and you will understand. You may as well view some of your previous questions and things might get a clearer as well.

I am a Christian. Everything that I hold sacred, revolves around who Jesus Christ was/is/will be. So now I ask you. Who is Jesus?
I think that should answer your question from a spiritual standpoint.
Now Politically.
Islam may very well be a religion of peace but right now 100% of America's enemy's are Muslim. It would be an easy jump to see all of Islam as the enemy.
I do not personally see Islam as the enemy but I do not see them as helping the United States or Christians in any way shape or form.
You asked. I answered.
Shalom.

ok ppl. i am a Muslim and if u guys r wondering wht we think of Jesus,Abraham, etc;. well we think of them as prophets nothing more nothing less. they were just sent to convey the message of Islam to mankind. they weren't terrorists or cruel dictators. and you people are acting like the way a small group of ignorant people are acting is the way the entire Muslim faith believes in things. its NOT that way !!! so you're saying that if any Christian or Jewish person goes and massacres innocent people than they were just "misunderstood" or "mentally ill" or some other lame excuse. ok get this straight the world has bad people from every religion and walk of life. is every religion's followers were perfect than why would there be bad people in the world ??? u have to realize that you can't judge a book by its cover

you know there are so many difficulties that Muslims face in our time especially Muslims who live in the west but it is not as difficult as what our prophet faced in his time so the only way to overcome these things is by keep following the Quran and the prophet teaches.
furthermore the difficulties that we face today is a gift from the God, because the more we face them the more we become related to our religion, i never realized how noble Islam is before all of these difficulties took place

I have never met a Muslim, the entire region I live in is probably 98% white. The biggest issue I would say my area has is a fear of the unknown, either that or they just don't care about stuff they don't know. Not sure which is worse. I feel sorry for Muslims, I feel sorry for everyone who is misunderstood. I wonder how many of them have even heard of Jesus.

Being a true Muslim is no different to being a true Christian. All Children of God would have problems evoked by non believers. You can show that Islam is a religion of peace by demonstrating peace in your everyday living.

I was reading one of your pplz comments on the Islam page. I think thats its so uncool to judge people like that. Yes a few muslims did some really bad things but they arent muslims. In Islam if you hurt or kill people for no reason, YOU ARE NOT A MUSLIM. Islam is a religon of peace. What some of you are saying are really uneducated anwsers ( in my opinion). For exmp. just because a few rapers ( who happen to always be christian if you watch the news) are christian and go around attackin pplz and harrasin them doesnt mean that all christians do that. Just because some robbers ( who mostly always happen to be christian) who happen to be christian goes and robs some bank doesnt mean every christian is going to do that. And a really good example out of all of these is homicide cases. Almost every single homicide case ive seen on tv isnt a jew, muslim, or budist, ITS A CHRISTIAN!!!!!!!! And just because one or two people decide to go out and shoot someone doesnt mean that all christians are going to do that. So please take this into concideration and do your research before running around and saying stuff about pplz you dont even know. Thanks

Man from Utopia - So because some Muslims in an American gym are ok by you, this means "Muslims" are great people. Wow, could you be dumber? No way you could, seriously.
QUESTION:
FIRST, distinguish "Muslims in America" from "Muslims". Muslims in America make-up .1% of the entire Islamic world. Naturally, Muslims living under Islamic law in Islamic countries dont recieve the education or freedoms Muslims in America do. However, despite the freedom and education availble in America, domestic Muslims still committ terror and speak out-rageous hatred for the country they so hypocritically decided to move to.
PEW data is clear, Muslims all over the world, hate America intensely and have before 911. They live under unimaginable strictures that essentially brainwash them. For all practical purposes, they are not human by western standards. Maybe you could call them hate-bots or aliens, but they literally are the opposite of everything you consider to be human, however, this requires dialogue beyond "small talk" to unearth. In the west, they dont go around screaming "I hate all you kafrs".

I always wondered if Islam is such a beautiful peaceful religion, ordained by Allah as the only truth, then why is it that Islamic countries are not at the forefront of technology, wealth and a shining example to us infidels. It seems they disapprove of the West and Westerners but it is ok to adopt western knowledge and technology.
