Here is how I see...
Their lives are really not all that eventful and they are frustrated because they feel so insignificant.
So to make themselves feel more important or to validate their own boring existence they criticize and make value judgments on anyone who is outside the 'norm' or who looks different.

I'm glad you pointed that out. People are better off trying to get a police car to race you then having someone pick your answer the best answer! I think it's rude when were trying to ask a normal question like anyone else.

Tats on beautiful females turn me off. I just can't help but feel dismayed at the disfigurement they caused on their attractive bodies. I couldn't care less about guys.
I did not intentionally get on the tattoo section. This question was lumped in along with different categories when I got on in the initial YA window.

I've been doing BBSs for a long time (late 70s/early 80s), and the anonymity has always granted cowards great courage. Fortunately, we have people like Blair & others to show them for who they are. :)
If those opposed could at least give constructive & useful advice, regardless of whether they're inked, that'd be great. Pity sounding "cool" is more important.
In my experience, the bravado & hubris disappears as soon as you get face to face with them - not an option for 99%+ of those here.

I'm sure they aren't opposed to tat's.. some like them some don't .. I just saw your post in the answer section.. I don't have tats.. my sons do.. and both sons (in their 30's) wished they never had gotten them.. I never even thought about it when I was younger. Now Tatoo's are main stream.. All walks of life. .Not just bikers or guys in prisons..but MD's. lawyers. My one son is a professional in his field too.. To each his/her own.. Gotta live in your own skin!

I have wondered that myself. They can see the topic of this section. I don't know why they would even care to read the questions.

Because obviously they have nothing better to do with there time. Not to mention you get all the religious people trying to tell you god doesn't want you to deface your body. blah blah blah..
