Sounds like he has a crush on her.

First, she needs to stop giving him attention when he acts up. Sit down and discuss it with her. I had to do the same with my mom. Explain to her that it is like giving in to a two year old because they throw a temper tantrum. This means going as far as not to acknowedge him at all, no looking at him, speaking to him, picking him up, etc.

Tell her that after he is composed and behaving himself, then she can give him attention, pick him up, etc. This will help stop the bad behavior, but you will have to be patient. It took me 6 months to retrain my cockatiel after he was with my mom for 3 months.

With the biting, try to learn what it is that is causing him to bite. Is he tired? Over excited? Scared? Thinking that his territory is being invaded? Or is this more of his way to get attention? What does she do when he bites? If he thinks it is a reward, then it will be encouraged.

When my Indian Ringneck Parakeet bites, I tell her "no bites" and place her on her cage to calm down. After she is calm again, I go back, pick her up and give her loves again. Kind of like a birdie time out, but I don't put her in the cage. I don't want her thinking that being in the cage is a punnishment.

I hope this helps!

If uncertain, flow to a chicken Vet. in line with hazard the nutrition plan isn't adequate in minerals or oils.
