Just relax and you will be fine! I have had three children naturally one with absolutely no pain killers at all! I found the pain to be more frustrating than painful, like an itch that you just can't reach! Although it will probably hurt the moment you hear and see your baby for the first time you will forget the pain, I guarantee you that! There are alot of things that you can do to make it easier too. Beforehand walk! It will help you get ready and it makes the delivery so much easier. Everyone is different and what worked for me may or may not work for you but you can talk to your doctor or midwife about the aids that are availiable for you. Most important just relax and don't listen to all the horror stories you hear from a lot of women about haw terrible it is. For me it was the most wonderful expierience! I would do it 20 more times if I could!

First, you're correct in that animals do feel pain; therefore, when a thing the size of a calf tries to come out of a thing the size of an orange, there is immense pain. Ask any human female who has given birth to a 6 pound baby through an opening that is only about 10centimeter in diameter but is usually 1 or 2 centimeters across. Second, if you've not heard an animal cry out in pain during childbirth then you don't get out enough. Or maybe you're watching the Nature channel stuff that tends to sanitize everything a great deal and skips past the sounds to get to the delivery and the "ahhhh" from the animal and the "awww" from us. Third, the punishment of Eve is a myth used to try to explain a naturally occurring phenomena that early man was unable to understand otherwise. (The Bible is full of myths and they do not lessen or magnify its importance or spirituality, but when someone says "Daddy, how was the Earth made?" to an early history Jew, he was liable to say "Well, on the first day, there was nothing. But on the second day ..." Today, we know that the Earth took several billion years to form but we also don't know how long one of God's days is since a day to us is measured by our own revolution in 24 hours in our proximity to the sun. In Genesis, God didn't create the sun and moon until the fourth day, so if you're a strict believer of the Bible, those first three days must've been l o n g !) And I very seriously doubt that whatever punishment was inflicted on Eve for HER sin would have been passed on to all females of all species everywhere

Childbirth is like the worst menstrual pain you've ever had multiplied by 100. It's better if you can use an epidural. After 3 childbirths myself, I recommend them. The pain can be managed at first with the breathing exercises but once the true labor happens, to be honest, the breathing didn't help me at all. If you can't handle pain, the epidural is the way to go.

It is different for everyone, it depends on where your contraction come from. I have heard they are much worse if they come from your back, mine were not.

Personanlly I have never had a tatoo (I'm to afraid, go figure)
But I had a totally medication free childbirth and I will say it really wasn't painful at all.

I think the idea that it is painful is just a socially portrayed idea, and is not always true. Especially men think it has got to be painful because they don't understand how a woman could do such a thing, and because they hear women grunting or even screeming when having their child. Fear is what makes things painful, control your fear and you may find it is not as bad as you thought.

I won't tell you child birth is easy but you really should view it more as work. Honestly it just feels like taking a really hard poop :P
It is HARD to do, but there isn't a lot of actual pain to it.

It's probably gonna hurt a lot, but if you really are that scared you should look in to an epidural, which can make the pain less. [however, first read up on it because there are some side effects I'm sure]

Imagine shoving a bowling ball through the peephole on your front door...

No, I'm kidding. Sort of. As far as labor, the best comparison I know is kidney stones, minus the vomiting, but labor is more intense pain. I had back labor, though, so it might not be as bad for you. As for delivery...I had an epidural.
