In early church times, candidates for baptism (called catechumen) were prepared for their baptism during the Lenten season. They would sit through courses on what the church believed, reading from the various Gospels and letters.

On Resurrection Sunday, these candidates would be baptized, be allowed to participate in communion and received into fellowship.

Confirmations are sometimes done during the Lenten season. Lent is also a time for renewing baptismal vows. Some parishes do this. More than anything else, Lent is a time for repentance and renewal so its a good time to be baptized especially if you are an adult.
Peace and every blessing!

They are not connected in any way. Lent is man made. It has nothing whatsoever to do with GOD or the process of salvation. On the other hand, Jesus Christ commissioned Baptism: Matthew 28:16-20 and Mark 16:15.

They are not.

There is no lent in the Bible except where it was called an abomination.
And then you would have to have done the research in order to know what the reference was referring to. It is lost in antiquity.

There is baptism in the Bible Two kinds.
