Many dogs are allergic to fleas. Yours sounds like one of them. The flea bits are very irritating to the dogs skin and even after they are gone the irritation is still there.
She needs to see your vet woh can give you some medication to help her stop itching. Also if you use a good medicated or even oatmeal shampoo that releaves itchy dry skin then your pup will be even more comfy. Don't blow dry your dog after a bath that only drys their skin even more.

Dog's don't have just one flea. Fleas reproduce progessively. Purchase some topical flea medication, we use Frontline Plus. Follow directions and all the fleas in all their stages should be gone in 24-48 hours. There are many other possibilities besides fleas that make dogs itch, you may need to take her to the vet to rule out allergies or dermititis.

She may have more but just cant see it. My dogs use to have flees. The bleeding and scabs may not be from her itching but from the flees. And you can still wash her but just get dog shampoo that has moisturiver or aloe or something like that in it. And get them a flee collor so that it doesn't happen again. But some flee collars cause seizures among pups so ask a vet what brand u should use. Or instead of washing them yourselves u can bring them to like a petco or something and have them to wask your dog for flees and let them now of your worries about skin drying out!!

You may still have fleas I would take you dog to the vet to make sure the fleas are gone.
I would also introduce Linatone Oil to your dogs food the oils will help the itching.

THe problem is your dog has dry skin problems....get a medicated shampoo something with oatmeal tea tree and vitamin E...dont give baths that often one every two three weeks. ALso dont feed her food with by-products or corn that also causes dry skin. For faster results any food that has flex seed oil of fish oil...... like California Natural (herring and sweet potatoe) check the website www.natura.com for more information

try taking her to a vet and ask about a special shampoo. I've used the one from petsmart for puppies. it's in a tube and color is clear lt blue. it doesnt dry out the pups skin at all. but if you are worried, try using an oatmeal based one. also get her some advantex. they also have sprays to relieve the itching at the store.

Fleas are a major pest. There are various species of fleas - cat fleas, dog fleas, rat fleas and rabbit fleas.
You can get rid of them by the safest and cheapest methods like boric acid.

She may be allergic to fleas. Try putting Cortisone cream on the itchy spots and if this doesn't help take her to the vet for a prescription/shot of steroids. It really helps skin conditions.

There is an "oil" called linetone you can put on the puppy's food. It'll help with the itching and scratching and with dry skin.

You can find it in petsmart and petco.
