Use an open end table. (simple 4 legged table) Drape your favorite fabric, throw or blanket over it leaving the BACK side toward the wall with an opening for the cat. Place something heavy and decorative on top...a lamp, stack of books, plant etc. Place the litter box under the table, you can even use a covered litterbox if the table is high enough. A plus....the cats LOVE to go inside their own private tent!

i saw on t.v. once, they took like a small dresser with 6 drawers 3 on one side 3 on the other. they removed the storage area from 3 on one side and glued the drawer fronts back on so as to appear as if they were still there. then thy cut an opening on the side of the dresser for the cat/cats to go inside and use the litter box. also you have a place to store things such as, extra toys, grooming supplies, treats etc. only thing i don't remember is what they did to conceal the entrance.

A friend of mine put a wicker enclosure over her litter box and cut out an arch in the front as an entrance. It's very discreet and her cats don't seem to mind.

Hi we have a ragdoll cat so she is always inside. We didn't conceal her litter box but my hubby put a cat door/flap in the laundry door (it's an indoor laundry) so she can go in and out of the laundry as she pleases to eat/drink and use her litter tray.

The box idea is good...maybe take it step further to turn the box into a miniature house or castle? Or an outhouse!

On Decorating Cents the Trash to Treasure segment featured this. It's not much different from what you're proposing, but I'll paste in the link anyway.

i have two enclosed kitty litter boxes. They are great because they minimise mess and look neater. The Reject shop sells good plastic ones for $25 at the moment.
