With vehicles today and knowing that eventually you'll have to do some repairs, which is better. We figured that by leasing you'll avoid paying for costly repairs since it's under warranty, you'll always drive a newer vehicle and you have a guaranteed buyer. We have always thought buying a year or two old was better but lately the costly repairs have made us wonder if it's worth it. We have also noticed that the used trucks drop drastically again once we drive away. So what do you think ? Has anyone been happy with leasing or buying it and what made your decision.

if you lease, and you don't go over miles, you can't go upside down financially on a lease. plus you always get to upgrade to a new one every few years.
a purchase means you possibly could, but miles don't matter as much.

I don't like it because:

1. You're driving a taxi. At 12,000 miles a year that translates into 32 miles per day maximum driving in order not to overpass your lease's contract.

2. My insurance was higher due to the MANDATORY higher liability limits of 100/300-thousand limits as opposed to the lower for a purchased vehicle.

3. It's not my car, and never will be. Even if I trade vehicles often it's not the same thing to me. At least I have a choice. NOT with a lease.

most maintains is not covered on leased, and mileage could be a concern. you can get a good after market warranty on new and used cars. I've leased and purchased and for me purchase would be the better choice but, it really depends on your needs and intended use of.
