My brother was married two weeks ago with a snow flake theme.

They spray painted white some small twigs/branches and used white & sliver glitter on the edges, then used a string of crystal beads entwined through it as part of the centepiece along with candles and mirrors. Very pretty.

They also chose a site that would work with their theme, the chairs were blue and they had lots of small white lights that added to the effect.

They also got a TON of stuff at after Christmas sales. They bought all kinds of things with a snow flake theme cheap that they then used for the wedding - table runners, picture frames, place card holders that they used for the table numbers. And it is all stuff they can use to decorate their home for the holidays.

My daughter was a flower girl and her dress was velvet and blue -with long sleeves. They really added to the theme by making sure the attire of attandants looked winter appropriate. She only had a maid of honor, but she wore a long-sleeve blue dress. The bride's dress was also long sleeved. She thought (and I agreed) that it would look odd to have all this winter stuff and her not have long sleeves.

A lot of wedding supply sites have a snowflake theme section.

I would suggest splurging on the Chivarri chairs in a silver finish if you can find them, wrap the backs with ice blue sashes

have tall silver candelabra centerpices with varieties of all white and cream flowers, drape the arms of the centerpices with strands of crystal (or glass) and glass snowflake ornaments that you can get at a craft store.

Give out shawls in ice blue as favors to the women

Have silver chargers under the place settings

Lots of frosted candle votives

Serve Hot totties as a specialty drink or hot cider

Instead of an ice scuplture float flowers in thin plastic trays filled with water and freeze them so the flowers are susepnded in the ice then cut the trays away, use them to chill drink glasses, cold horderves on the ice, they can be lit from below by putting some battery powered LED under the ice...

There are so many things you can do. You could incorporate small white hydrangea trees, potted trees with white or blue lights to decorate empty spaces, white pine cones, ice blue glass beads or garland, icicle lights in white or blue, silver garland, white and blue tulle, large snow globes for centerpieces, candles (hurricanes, votives, or tea), add fake snow to tables, play some nice Christmas music in the background for the cocktail hour and while guests are eating, provide mulled cider or hot chocolate, have fondue, favors (miniature snow globes, personalized ornaments, Christmas theme cookie cutters), and so much more. Hope this helps...

The winter board at http://talk.theknot.com is full of ideas.

Also check out www.askginka.com

Use snowflakes on your invites and cake. You can get snowflake pins for your bouquet at www.bouquetjewels.com

Use fake snow with candles in hurricane shades for your centerpieces. Perhaps for favors, either do snowflake cookies or burn cds with your favorite winter songs.

do no longer take this as a impolite remark yet as an commentary. the whole large element replaced into no longer a romance...it replaced right into a disaster. basically simply by fact it replaced into MADE right into a romance movie (which i easily like BTW) would not eliminate from the actuality that lives have been lost. evaluate this: might a individual have a marriage on the 9/11 internet site? No. human beings might think of it replaced into in undesirable style considering that a terrible experience befell there. i might forgo the topic and %. some thing else.

Omg! how pretty!! U should have silver and white table clothes. U should hang snowflakes from the ceiling and drap fabric over the ceiling 2 make it look like the sky. I think it would make it look cool.
