i have chronic hepatitis b and i am a college student. if when i drink i only take 2 shots (2-4 times a month) will this hurt me? i know i shouldnt drink but i need to know how much alcohol is actually bad.

Yes you are killing your liver even quicker! With chronic hepatitis, your liver is already not healthy. Adding ANY alcohol is going to compound the problem and lead to end stage liver failure even quicker. You should also avoid Tylenol and products containing Acetaminophen

You may or may not be immune to Hepatitis B. By postponing getting shot number 3 you put yourself at risk for getting this illness especially if you have a sex partner that is a carrier or if you work where you are exposed to blood or body fluids. You should get the 3rd shot as soon as convenient - it is cheaper than getting Hepatitis B. Also, contrary to what a previous person said, you do not need to start over with the series as long as you have records that you got the first 2. Sometimes 3 shots are not enough to impart immunity so there is a small possibility that you could need a 4th shot. They can do a test called HBAb to see if you have adequate antibodies against Hepatitis B.

Any consumation of alchohal is endangering your liver/kidney's as well as making you prone to sever your already chronic hepatitis b conditions.
