Hi unfortuantley my 8 month old cat was knocked over about 3 weeks ago and i have a little boy who is 3 and is very upset. Im trying to get a kitten or a young cat for him, not as a replacement but for comfort and love for him aswell as myself. Does anyone know of anyone or anywhere that are selling kittens, small cats in salford, manchester area. Thankyou

Hi, are you anywhere near Oldham or Middleton?

There are some yong cats looking for homes there ... one of them, a lovely grey lad who's come from a home where there were children ... why not have a look on this site ...
http://www.dropshots.com/OldhamCats

If that's too far - then there may be a centre listed on these pages that is closer to you:
http://www.catchat.org/adoption/lancs.html

I did spot this advert - but it's nearly two weeks old:
http://www.gumtree.com/london/25/7870225.html

And there are a few adverts on this page:
http://www.pets4homes.co.uk/pets4homes/home.nsf/PV?SearchView&Query=(FIELD%20TypeTX=Cats)%20%20AND%20(FIELD%20PA_LocationsTX%20CONTAINS%20Manchester)%20&start=1&count=10&SearchOrder=3&ExactMatch=True&SearchWV=FALSE&SearchFuzzy=FALSE&SearchMax=200

Good luck - hope the links help

Hi, have you tried the RSPCA ? or you could ask at your local Vets ? I've just had a look in my copy of The Loot but its mostly dogs, there is a web site that may point you in the right direction, try www.salfordpets.co.uk (Manchester Road Swinton) the ad doesn't say anything about cats but it does say free advice !

best a luck

Try petfinder.com they have a huge selection and you should be able to find one close to your area.
How did the last kitten get "knocked over"? If you allow your cat to roam then you should not get another one for they are much safer and healthier inside. I hope you have learned your lesson and will keep the new kitten safe inside.

catcat.org are great and work in partnership with most cat charities

otherwise you could visit http://www.chaptanservices.com/purrs/index.php?board=7.0 why not post and ask for information - this forum has a number of small resuce centres who cannot afford to advertise - so you would be doing a really good thing to help take a cat off their hands

good luck!
