this guy in my wellness class is always lookin at me.sometimes its like he is trying to impress me when he plays basketball.i look at him back but when he sees me staring at him,he turns his head.he does it alot.and he was asking this other guy if he knows me.does this mean he likes me or what?

He might be too shy to take the next steps though... going to talk to you!
Next time you catch him looking at you, smile/giggle a little, make it easy for him to come and talk to you... unless of course you don't want to get to know him

I go with the 5 second rule. People have a tendency to be shy with there eyes, so if someone makes eye contact with you and holds there gaze for 5 seconds, that's a definite sign that there into you (or you have some mustard on you cheek).
On the other hand if you catch him looking at you a lot then there is a possibility that he's looking at you to see if you're looking at him.

I was at this concert once where the singers came up from the stage on this separate stage and they were being transported closer to the crowd. The stage would rotate and they singers would stare out and point their fingers out to the crowd. One girl in front of me yelled out loud after on of the artists looked in our direction of the crowd, she yelled, "He was looking right at me, he saw me!!!"
In a crowd of 150,000 people do you think anyone can see anyone?
I think it's a little wierd to assume that he's playing basketball as if he were trying to impress you. It's like that concert story...it's highly improbable.
Maybe he looks at you because you're looking at him and he thinks you're a little weird for staring at him all the time.
If he likes you you'll know it soon enough, if he doesn't...you'll find that out too. Don't go assuming things or saying crazy stuff like you think he's playing to impress you or that he's looking right at you... it could make people think that you're a bit nuts.

Oh yeah I reckon he does like you. Sounds like the same as my ex who used to seem as if he was mesmerised when he used to stare at me when cooking etc I could feel him looking at me and when I looked back he would tunr away ...but you can feel them looking at you, they are fascinated when they do this and sometimes are not even aware of what they are doing. From the way you describe it, it sounds like he does! If you want to get to know him, just start talking to him. Because then you could become friends, maybe more after that. If he doesn't like you, and you talk to him, then you'll just be acquaintances... and that'll be okay too!
