Fever, body aches, stuffy/ runny nose, sore throat, all symptoms for a bad cold and the fever,a nd I was wondering how do I know the difference between the two

There are different strains of flus. Some seem to be more mild than others. I believe in some cases of flus, you can't keep food down. You can't eat for 2-3 days...only sip on liquids.

Also you will get some incredible body aches and body chills, much more than you do in a cold. I had a really bad flu last year and I couldn't get out of bed for the first day. Going to the restroom or kitchen was a big chore.

The symptoms of the flu are, sudden onset of fever, 38 C./100 F.,plus one or more of the following. Sore throat. Body aches, Chills, Headache, Fatigue, Dry cough.

If you are experiencing a fever AND body aches then it is the flu. Usually a cold does not produce and fever or body aches.

you not only have the symtoms you said but you also get sick to your stomache and go back and forth from hot to cold with the flu
