My daughter goes to afternoon kindergarten. When she gets home, her brother is also out of school (1st grade). We go through their backpacks and do homework if any. They both get time on the computer to do educational games like jump start and reader rabbit. Depending on the weather, they can go outside or we play some board games. They have some tv time while I get dinner ready. After dinner, we clean up and play some games. The kids start to get ready for bed. We reads books together that they pick out. Then the bedtime routine begins and they brush their teeth, get their things ready for the next day and go to bed. On bath night they take a shower one at a time while the other talks about their day and chooses their books. Then it is off to bed.

Mine comes home torn between ravenous hunger and a desperate need to bounce through the house like a pinball! He is very high energy and all reports are that he is very well behaved at school. When he gets home I give him 30-60 minutes to have a snack, let off steam and decompress. Then we do homework.

it's a half day program, so I pick her up and she eats lunch and watches a video and then plays with Barbies or Polly pockets until it's time to go pick up her big sister from 2nd grade.
