I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

No wonder you are having panic attacks if you are living your life in fear. If you ruin your life through fear of terrorism then they have already won. They only do these attacks so people will fear them.
If I was you I would become a diplomat and learn ways to persuade people to help each other that way people won't become terrorists and you will have nothing to fear while on transport.
I myself have suffered from panic attacks and know what a pain they are. The best thing to stop getting them is to be positive and believe in yourself. You can make things better and make a difference if you believe you can.

The Army doesn't need anyone who can't handle riding the subway, no offense. Panic attacks can be dangerous, especially if you pass out. Please get do a doc asap. I am not a fan of psychotropic drugs, but they might be a short term solution while you learn to deal w/ the attacks in therapy.

The army wont take you if you have panic attacks so the best thing to do now is to get to your doc and get it sorted out.

i too suffered with panic attacks it was a living nightmare i would get one after the other they became uncontrollable but eventually they did go away due to my change of lifestyle (a divorce with my husband who was a bully) i didn't need any drugs as they actually made me worse, i just rode the storm.
the army would make them worse i would just try and be in calm surroundings as much as you can until you feel stronger

I would suggest you work with an alternative medicine doctor rather than taking pills; much better for your health in the long run.
Also there is a nice article here for you to read:

Nothing is for sale, just great info - good luck!!
