Sure why not.
Reasons I don't believe in god:
1. It's impossible, I mean you never see any dragons in the sky or mermaids in the ocean, so they can't be real. You can't see/feel/hear god either, why would there be one?
2. Prayers never work, want me to prove this? Ok "god, make this page turn blue right now". Did it work? Didn't think so.
3. How do believers know that the god they believe in is the only one? How do they know other religions are wrong? They don't
4. If you're loved you will never be sent to a red place and burn forever, even if you sin over and over (nobody's perfect)
5. Dinosaurs aren't mentioned in the bible, it's a fact that they once existed, but they're never mentioned in the bible. I wonder why. Oh wait, I don't have to wonder because I know why. The bible is just a fairy tale.
6. No evidence
What more do you need? Don't make me take out my list of 93 more reasons of why I don't believe in god.

1) Total lack of evidence for God, like so many above have already explained.
2) The concept of "Hell". Can you believe that God will send the greatest, most loving, most charitable non-Christian in the world to burn forever solely for that reason? Well, I can't.
3) Contradictions in the Bible.
4) The absurdity of so many of the concepts in the Bible. I mean, talking snakes? Someone created from a rib? Men living to be hundreds of years old? The whole Noah's Ark story? How does any of that make sense? And don't even get me started on the miracles.
5) The fact that prayer doesn't work (and has been scientifically proven in the past to basically have no effect).
6) The existence of thousands of other religions. If Christianity is the correct religion, why do we even have things like Islam or Hinduism? Why does God even give us the option of venturing down a path that will lead us to the fire?
7) Can you believe that God cares about petty things like sexual orientation? Well, I can't. I also can't imagine the supreme awesome creator of the universe writing half of the stuff in the Bible.
I could probably list a lot more but I'll stop there.

Evidence and proof. Start with evolution, which clearly explains (and proves) our origins on this planet. How all life on this planet is closely related. Evolution doesn't require a designer. Nor does love, morals, evil, or anything that theologians claim is the work of god. Also, it is a fact that the more educuated and intelligent a person is, the less the will believe in the religions of the world. I find SCIENCE to be very spiritual and humbling. No religion touches the sense of awe of the universe that is revealed by science. I believe humans invented god as a way to better understand the world, that is until science came along and explained things better.

My question is, if people can actually believe that an invisible deity created the universe, why is it so hard for them to believe scientific theories?
The story of God was created centuries ago, by extremely unintelliegent people. They didn't have the science, or the technology that we have today. But they still asked the same question. "How did we get here?" So, they came up with the most logical answer, for that time period. God.
The "God" answer does not work anymore.....not in this time period. Since the discovery of so many scientific facts and theories, we have practically disproved completely that the universe was created by a God or higher power.
Or who knows....maybe there is a God. He just didn't create the universe. Would that be difficult to believe also?

Why is it that atheists deny the very science they purport to use to prove that God doesn't exist which actually proves He does? Not only science but archeology, history, etc. prove the accuracy of the Bible. Why is it also that so many people who try to disprove the Bible end up becoming Christian? Ever heard of C.S. Lewis? Bruce Muncaster? Both staunch atheist until challenged to accurately and substantially disprove the Bible.

You are given us a broad subject. Why don't you break it down to individual Gods.
For the case of Yahweh.
Free will.
==
God is omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent Free will can not exist, therefore God lied. One thing that Yahweh can not do is lie.
Do you see the logic here.
Noah's Ark.
==
There could not have possibly been enough water on the Earth to cover all of the mountains save the tallest ones. At that altitude they would hardly be able to breath and the temperature would be freezing. Survivability would be near zero. At the same time all of the animals on board is impossible.
Animals speaking fluently with humans.
==
Does not happen.
Trees that are tall enough so one can see the entire Earth.
==
False.
Seven days to create the Earth.
==
Not possible.
The list goes on and on and on. Then there is somehow no evidence to back up Yahweh. It is a lost cause. Yahweh does not exist.

im not an atheist
whether or not we can prove or disprove the existence of a deity, that does not mean that one does not exist...even if we mathematically reduce the probability of one existing, does not mean that one does not exist, we just do not know with any certainty either way
however, as there IS a lack of evidence, although it would seem more comforting in an insecure way if one existed that took us to a nice warm fuzzy place when we die, I have to logically conclude that God does not exist until proved otherwise as painful as that is/was to admit that
If you believe that we evolved (which I do) then too many questions arise as a result

I honestly don't care. I feel I'm right, they feel they are right, if everyone will just mind their own business then we can call be happy.
Although...how am I supposed to prove to you the reasons why I don't believe? I was raised who I am, I've never believed it, it's never been real to me.... how do I prove that, by having you talk to my family?

My biggest issue right now is I have no faith. I cannot prove god exists. I was raised as a Christian. I have a huge problem with organized religion. So many are hypocrites. Now that I am older I just feel that I am a better person without religion in my life.

Belief based on zero evidence is faith. If there was evidence it wouldn't be faith. But belief without evidence is without any logical foundation. So we prefer to base what we believe to be true on the existence of evidence. We accept that evidence is not always conclusive, but it will lead one to swing one way or the other, and the total absence of evidence for the existence of god causes us to reject the possibility that one could exist. Where we have to consider competing evidence for two different points of view, we use our judgement. This is not the case with god though, for whom absolutely no evidence whatever exists. We fall back to the default position: there is no evidence, so we do not believe.
Does that help?
