i ask this because i believe a lot of teens start having sex @ such a young age because of peer pressure, media, etc. i know i did. i just felt like i was missing out on something so i decided to lose my virginity @ 17. when i was a younger teen i had planned on saving myself until marriage but slowly each of my friends lost theirs so i kinda felt left out and did it too. stupid i know cuz now i wish i would have waited to share that special moment with my current boyfriend whom i now live with and plan to marry.

well I am still a teen.. I am actually 17...:) well I think yes most teenagers start loosing their virginity because of pressure from society and friends.. I am still a virgin =)
And I want to stay a virgin, mayb enot until marriage but until i find the right guy... but most of my friends are not virgins anymore. It has a lot to do with how you have been raiced, and how strong and well based is your personality, i honestly don't feel the need to do it right now, i am a person with my own life my own beliefs and my own decitions and positions so I rather have sex when I feel like it, and when I want it, not because other are doing it I don't need to.
Most girls don't think like me tho. My bf is very happy to have someone like me by his side, he is proud because I am different. And he says I am a jewel. (i know i have the best bf in the world he is 19 and experienced... and i am 17 and NOT experienced)

Yes I felt pressured. All my friends were having sex and made such a big deal about it. I got teased every day because I made up my mind to wait until I felt it was the right time with the right guy. But I was willing to accept the teasing and I'm glad to this day that I did.

I think there is a lot of pressure by society today to lose your virginity. I'm 20 and virgin and I feel really stressed out and totally pathetic. But I'm shy and I don't want to do it with just anyone... I think this is a problem for almost everyone growing up. But even though I'm struggling with it myself I think you should do it when it feels right for you. Otherwise you'll just end up feeling like you have violated yourself...
