^_^ I guess when you are in love with an invisible best friend you got to go and tell the world about it. I honestly dont know why.

Maybe they think it will get them some brownie points in heaven.

These people are worried that Jesus might think they are not good Christians or they are trying to impress him. As if he the time to be looking at all the bumpers on the freeway. No his first priority are his fellow countrymen the Jews. After all he is Jewish. He didn't attend Church on Sundays, he attended a Temple on Saturdays.

We are commissioned to go out and spread the good news of the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

Are you offended by the crosses they bear around their necks? Are you offeneded by the bumper stickers that shows they believer?

If so, so be it.. I'm offended that you even asked a question like this.

~ We are taught to share the gospel message!

~ When people read them, then ignore them, then they die (without Knowing HIM... their creator)...

They will stand at the final judgment... God will show them all the time someone tried to soften their heart... open their eyes... unplug their ears... to hear the gospel message...

Then, sadly, God will have to tell them that He did NOT know them... and send them to an eternity of fire and brimstone in the Lake of Fire...

~ That is why, virusvaleria... we have bumper stickers... that is why, virusvaleria we wear clothing with Christian messages... that is why, virusvaleria we have wear a cross without Jesus hanging on it (for He has risen!)... that is why, virusvaleria we share the gospel message as often as we can... that is why, virusvaleria we try to be a 'Light" in this dark place/world...

~ virusvaleria... don't let YOUR 4 walls take your life! Give your life to Jesus Christ. He Loves YOU! Me too!

"When you pray, you are not to be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and on the street corners so that they may be seen by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full." Matthew 6:5. And similar passages.

Against this you can quote "This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations." Matthew 24:14. And similar passages.

It's easy to demonstrate that Jesus would've disapproved of the actions of many of his followers; it's just as easy to demonstrate that they're doing exactly what he intended - if only because the bible is hopelessly self-contradictory, and any conceivable position on any issue can be backed up with reference to one text or another. But this relegates to the backburner the far more important position that the entire book is just a collection of fables.

The same reason that people have other kind of stickers. Harley Davidson Motorcycles, My kid is an Honor Student, Radio Stations, they are all stickers that proclaim you support for something. We support Jesus and want all to know, what is wrong with that?

We aren't supposed to keep it to ourselves. Jesus told us to share the Truth.

As it is written: "Therefore, as you go, disciple all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you each and every day until the end of the age." (Matthew 28:19-20)

And

"As you go into all the world, proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. The one who believes and is baptized will be saved, but the one who doesn't believe will be condemned." (Mark 16:15-16)

We are called to be salt and light. Salt is no good if it stays in the shaker (church). It must be spread about to be useful.

It does seem arrogant and stupid doesn't it.

I saw one the other day that said Jesus hates sin.

To me using the word hate in the same sentence as the name Jesus shows a complete misunderstanding of everything that Jesus stood for.

Because as a servant to the Lord we are to pass on the Truth of the Gospel and Salvation through Jesus Christ.

I ignore it. A Jesus fish on the car says almost nothing about the type of people in it. Actions, however, speak volumes. Everyone's entitled to free speech. And a fish on a car is not encroaching on me in any way.
