This was posted on my blog, in response to my question asking what God will have done for you by the end of the day:

"God is love and truth. Without God there is NOTHING. God has given me life, God has loved me since the beginning of time. God exists not just in my mind, but in everything I do. Without God I would not be here and without God my life would be nothing.God is in my heart and soul, God is the air that I breathe, and the blood that flows thru my veins. I KNOW for a fact that God exists, He has cvome to me many many times. You dont feel love because you do not know what love is. Without God, love does not exist. No I have never felt unloved or abandoned. God is always there, I feel His arm upon my shoulder at all times, He is always next to me. What has God given me this day? Love and abundant blessings beyond your thinking."

Your thoughts?

The response was directed toward me. So to those who agree completely, are you saying that you believe that a) I don't feel love because I don't know what love is; and b) without God, love does not exist? Really?

It is in quotation marks, folks. It was a RESPONSE to a question I ASKED.

My thought is that it takes a poor delusional individual to mistakenly assume his/her concept of god equals the totality of reality. It would be like saying:

"I know for a fact god exists because I can feel him in my keyboard, hear his mighty hum as it escapes the air vent in my computer. I feel god looking at me through the window, he works in my light bulbs, makes my car run. This is how I know he's real, I feel it very strongly, and I've felt his presence many times. I feel god every time I'm hungry, because without god there would be no hunger or food or even us! You don't know what hunger is until you know God! I feel god every time I take a crap. I see god every time I get a cut - that red stuff? That's god! And so on."

Despite this being a parody, I propose absolutely nothing more extreme or bizarre than what the commenter alleges. If this sort of lunacy wasn't commonly accepted this individual would have been securely locked away where his/her delusions could be treated by a proper facility.

Godless you have encountered love living in a person. The best kind of love that there is. The person is not implying anything about you. Just that you asked a question and he or she answered. Boy that's a wonderful, heavenly inspired answer. People hate us so much, yet look at that answer that has nothing but love in it. The real, authentic kind of love that should be. I'am convinced that as Christians winning theological arguments doesn't do an ounce of good. But with authentic Godly love, living inside a person that is going to stun and shake people. I've seen it time and time again. God bless you Godless, no pun intended.

I think it is all well and good for someone to feel a presence of God or spirit, or The Divine, or Higher Power, or whatever you want to call it.

I draw the line when someone says, "My reality is THE truth."

For someone to say that nothing exists outside of the sphere of their own experience (as this writer did, in saying that '... you don't feel love because you do not know what love is. Without God, love does not exist...' seems to me to be the height of hubris. Not to mention a completely closed system (a closed system is to rational thought as a stagnant pond is to fresh water) And unbelievably self-serving.

We all have our own experiences. I experience life, love, passion, disappointments, joy - everything - in the way that my world unfolds before me. For someone to say to me: you do not experience life because you do not experience what I do - is, well, really kinda scary.

Trust your gut. Listen to your heart. Always be open to learning more. Never settle with ONE truth that claims to define and solve everything forevermore. Life is far too alive for that ever to be the case.

People fall 'in love' because that's the way they learn to 'love God' and not the other way around! I truly 'love God' now because I love my husband first ... and I know that what I felt as me 'loving God' before was much less than it is now. As I grow older, I also grow in 'knowlege' and 'wisdom' and those are not the same things at all ... so, God give me no less and no more than what I ask him to give me ... which is 'the life he created me to live in my own way and in my own time.' And that is my 'answer' to both your 'question' and to the 'not right, but only because it's not whole' answer you were given ...

God has done more than enough. Why do you want to know what God will do for you by the end of the day? I always try to ask what I can do for God by the end of the day.

~ Hey Godless... don't give up so easily!

I believe the statements that were placed on your blog...

I believe that God knows you more than you know yourself... knows the numbers of hairs on your head... has a name for each of them... knows the exact second you will die... knows the temptations you have, BUT HE GIVES YOU A CHOICE...

Just like your 'Yahoo Answers' name... "Godless"

If, you are Godless, godless... I'll pray now for your change of heart before you die... after that, you do NOT have a chance to have your name written in the Lord's Book of Life.

You DO NOT DESERVE Satan!

Remember that Jesus Christ DIED FOR YOU.

Get your act together!

I have mixed feelings.......

On the one hand...who am I to say what he feels or experiences. I can't say with certainty that he doesn't feel that. I can say I am very skeptical because no one I know or trust has felt that. I haven't felt that.

On the other....it was somewhat judgemental. I can't feel love? Tell that to my mother.

I'm glad that he feels something he can feel so sure of. I don't see certainty in this world.
