Oh that is really sad... I had the same attitude after my dad passed away when I was 15. But hunny, life goes on. Think of your family and friends, what would they do without you? You'r depression is not only hurting you, but it is hurting your loved ones as well. Try to do some things you love, take a hike in the mountains, go to an amusement park, get a dog, and walk it. Even if you don't feel like laughing, laugh! its the best medicine. Try to make a funny joke, if nobody laughs, hey they should get a sense of humor. You'll be fine, remember your family. When you get depressed think about a time you had with family or friends that you had a really good time, it will help. Just smile and you'll get through this. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you start feeling better soon!

Nobody can convince you that life is worth living, you have to do that yourself.
But in the meantime, try and do something that you enjoy, chat with friends and family. You will soon realise that if you didn't have a life, you would not only be avoiding the bad things, but missing out on plenty more good times.
Depression is hard, i know because i suffer from it. But if you get the right help, right medication, right support from family and friends, there is a good chance that you will feel happy and love life again.
Hope this helps, good Luck
Stay positive : )

Just a few ideas and thoughts on your question:
Do you have relatives? They would probably grieve and miss you terribly. Some of them might even feel responsible or guilty if something happened to you. And there are people all around you that would notice and miss you even when it doesn't seem like it from your view.
Have you tried doing things for other people less fortunate? I have been totally blessed when I helped in the local food pantry or with the Santa program or the school supply drives. To see the happy and relieved looks on people's faces when one of their challenges has been met is a natural high, particularly when it seemed my own life was in shambles.
And I have been a volunteer in the past at several nursing homes to just visit people to say "Hi!" and talk a bit. Some of us would read to a blind woman and once in a while we would go to the store for them to pick up items they had listed. They love for young people to come especially. I now call Bingo for the elderly at the retirement home. They love having people come see them for any reason or no reason.
Do you have talents and abilities you can share with someone else...art, music, reading...sharing, teaching or helping? Another natural high!
On a religious order, they say, and I can testify to the fact personally myself that people that have God in their lives are happier and live longer, healthier lives and are less depressed. Regular church attendance helps and gives you another group of encourager friends!

I feel that way a lot are you on any medications? As long as you do not feel that way all of the time then it is normal. I you have any thoughts of suicide immediately call 911 or a suicide hot line. I only live for a select few of my close friends and my dogs, but I do wonder if I did not have any of them anymore if I would want to live. Keep in mind that this answer is coming from someone who has been to therapy and I am currently on medication for depression that runs in my family. Good luck and try to focus on the good parts of life.

Life has meaning. It is a gift from your parents and the "Root and ground of all being and artist of all that is", which some call God. It means to be joyfully aware that you are a vital and functional human and not an animal, plant or a dead body. Its purpose is to daily give evidence to others that their existence matters to you and accepting their assessment that your existence matters to them. It also has as its purpose something you did enthusiastically as a two year old, that is explore and question your environment, eagerly seeking evidence that you belong here and your existence matters to someone Why do this? For the same reason you did it when 2 or 3, because you got evidence from your surroundings and your parents that you belonged, were needed and loved..

Y is life worth living?
cause u can wak up early to watch the sunrise then watch it set and later go star gazing. eventually youll find someone who you love completly and never want to hurt and they will make you notice life is worth living. the warm summer breeze sailing one the ocean are the best day you want to live for. If its your job that you dont like quit it take some time off and find out what you really want to do. If its romace issues youll find someone eventually who will make you happy for the rest of your life. I honestly believe that you can get through anything and that happiness will cme to you eventually just give it time. If god didnt have a purpose for you then you wouldnt be here. DO NOT TAKE YOUR OWN LIFE. it is the most selfish act that a person can committ

I have been through this once. I think it is just depression. It depends on how happy you are with your life. And another thing is that if you have goals for your future then you know why you should live. After all our only purpose in life as organisms is to produce successful offsprings.
Well after all it's more interesting to leave it that kill yourself. Don't you think so? Where would the excitement be in killing yourself besides making the people who love you feel terrible.

Yes! Life is definitely worth living for! Try volunteering at a school or an animal shelter...even if it is only for a 30 minutes. While you are there, ACT HAPPY! Others will respond to your being positive. This will in turn make them happier (people like feeling this way) and they will want to be around you (which their being happier should make you feel good inside too). You will be making a difference.

Sometimes I feel this way to. But I just shake my self and say stop that...lol. I don't mean to make fun. But maybe you should just get out and do something for you. Go to a movie, or out to eat, maybe a good long walk would help. If you don't think so then maybe you should talk to some one close to you about the way you are feeling. It could be where its winter just remember that Spring is just around the corner. Hope this helped good luck
