Technology is a broad concept that deals with a species' usage and knowledge of tools and crafts, and how it affects a species' ability to control and adapt to its environment. Fire, energy source, the wheel, printing press, internet, communications, weapons, nuclear weapons. Think of where technology has taken us, and now we think of where it will lead us. The iPods. Haha. 6.5 billion people walk this earth, and its likely 100% of us use technology. But we are really screwing this planet up. Global Warming is evident as the highest recorded tempratures in history have been all within the last 7 years surpassing all last records. The most hurricanes ever recorded were within the last few years, and the most strongest ones at that. Mt. Fugi is said in the next seven years to have no more snow atop its peaks, which has never been recorded since the first drawing of Mt Fugi as late as 800AD always had snow atop.
I think the next greatest technology will be the ability to adjust the effects of Global Warming. If not that, then the Flat Screens will just get flatter and cheaper, cell phones will be the size of an actual cell which can be worn like an earring. Thousands of more pills we be release by the FDA. And gas prices will be $30 a gallon since all cars will have a 120mpg. The government will run a bill threw Congress to ensure that the goverment will be able to pay for all these new things too......

Mobile internet technology is about to change the world. It will end up that a lot of people only have a mobile phone, not a computer.
GPS will also become more commonplace.
Those who do have a computer will use touchscreen technology instead of keyboards.
But I am still hoping for teleporting!!!

To be quite honest we are going to have special implants done, that is a microchip surgically placed in our forehands. That will have everything and every bit of information about that person. All you would have to do scan the persons hand, like thye do at the check out lanes at the grocery stores. And they will know everything about that person. They have already changed currency in europe. Come on now the age of technology has just begun.

All present technologies are based on ELECTRONICS. Well, if you really want to blow your mind, try PHOTONICS. It will do everything electronics will do at the speed of light and virtually no loss in transmission.
Photonics is to Electronics what space flight is to the steam engine.
In the words of the bard , you aint seen n'ting yet!

I know what I would like it to be. I want an affordable car that drives itself. I know how to drive but because of health issues I'm not allowed to. I really miss being able to go wherever whenever I want to.

It will probably be redundant, it is out of date before it is produced.
