I have xp and was wondering if there was a way to make the windows I currently have open 3D like vista?

No.

This is a programming feature exclusive to Windows Vista (at least, exclusive as far as versions of Windows goes).

yes there is, i think its called inspirat, i tried it and it worked, but now i have vista so i dont need it, but try it out dude.
