Can a Contact lens become infected? my eye(s) just got done curing from an infection. i wasnt able to wear my contacts for 2 weeks. just now i put them on (with the approval of my eye doctor) and it feels like something is in my right eye that is also in the contact. i cleaned my contact and it went away for about 20 mins. now its back again. if its possible to have infected contacts, how can i cure them without switching another pair.

When you have an eye infection and wear your contacts unfortunetly putting your contacts back in will re-infect your eye. Your eye Doctor should have recommended a new pair.

You should see your eye doctor........by the way DON'T RUB THEM! I made that mistake and had to go a whole day of school with no left contact. Another thing are you cleaning it right, is there something in your eye? Best thing go to you optometrist!

wash them out again. then flush your eye with water. put them back in and see if it still hurts if so call you doctor. try a new pair of contacts and see if it hurts. maybe they are infected!
