With the exception of the "Hairless" (which is not COMPLETELY hairless, but is as close as you can get), you are going to experience shedding from virtually ALL species of cat. It's simply logic......when the weather warms, the fur thins.
If you are worried about allergies, rather than aesthetics (looks), I would go with the Hairless. If it's aesthetics that you are worried about, try a short hair Tabby of a light or dark color, depending on the typical hues in your furniture. Then, if shedding occurs, it won't show that much.

Pedigree breeds like the Siamese, Bengal, Singapura, Korat, Sphinx. Contrary to what people believe, the sphinx is not bald at all, it has a very short downy like coat. The moggies, i.e, british shorthair, tortoiseshells etc still shed quite a lot. If you were to go for the pedigree cat, you might have to make them indoor cats as they are quite expensive and ther diet has to be strict i.e. only one type of food as they tend to have sensitive stomachs.

A Sphinx. These almost completely hairless cats are extremely friendly and have almost no hair. They need no brushing at all and don't shed a hair! They look really weird, but they're lovable.

In reality that would be one of the hairless breeds, but the shorter the hair the less a problem the shedding is.

They all shed about the same. But short haired cat will seem like less cause the hair is shorter so there is less.

The cat that does not shed AT ALL, is the sphynx cats. They are hairless so they can not shed!
*Hope this helped*

Short hairs still shed twice a year.
If you can tolerate a hairless, nearly hairless breed; then it would have to be the Cornish Rex or the Sphinx.
