OK for starters pink and red are not less noticeable, i in fact just got my other wrist tattooed and its pink and red (flowers) it all mainly depends on the size you get and what you choose. I say choose something that you will enjoy for the rest of your life and like mentioned before something that's easy to cover up just in case. If you want a good place try the underside of the wrist as you cant see it from just looking you would actually have to show ppl. I wouldn't get a butterfly, just about everyone has them. I may have gotten flowers but i have them personalized to me. That's the most important thing, find something you enjoy and love and don't let anyone tell you its wrong.
Good Luck.

I would suggest tiger lily's around your wrist. I have one purple lily, one blue lily, one orange lily and one red lily. They're tiger lily's, with green leaves and black "tribal wrap-around designs. It is located above my wrist bone and it doesn't wrap all the way around my wrist. If you were to measure it in length and width, it's about 4 inches long and 1 1/2 to 2 inches wide. It goes half way around my wrist. I wish I had pictures to show you, and I did but I deleted them off my computer because I printed the pictures out. Damn! But anyways, it's a very very feminine tattoo as well, and I also get tons of compliments! It looks awesome when I wear colored clothes because it matches, and it really stands out and appears to be a bracelet. When I want it covered, I put on a normal bracelet and it covers it just fine, but I never cover it anymore. I love it! I just thought of a way to show you some pictures I had saved of myself, but you can see my tattoo too, just not very close up, but at least you can get somewhat of an idea. Good luck♥!

that's something you need to figure out for yourself...especially considering the wrist is a very visible location. I would wait for something that you're really sure about....
Also - Sven - don't you have a superiority complex...a tattoo doesn't make class or trash...the person does this themselves. Your comment definately puts you in the latter category.

Nothing...if you don't know what you want to put there...then you shouldn't get anything at all. Tattoos are a form of personal expression and shouldn't be picked out of a book or off of a wall.

I love tattoos have 2 myself real big cover my whole back
But remember one thing even if you like them other people may not. Yes you are your own person but later in life you may want to apply for a great job and that might keep that future boss from hiring you for a job. You should get it in an easy to hide spot

The wrist is a horrible place to get a tattoo. since it is always flexing and stretching, the tattoo only ever looks good in the original position you were tattooed in.

As I mentioned before - don't do it! It is very low class. I don't make the rules - that's just the way it is.
Edit: Give me all the thumbs down if you want. You just can't stand the truth. If you want to hang out with low class commoners, and if that's who you identify with then as mentioned in previous posts get the damn thing tattooed on your forehead; I really don't care. I don't have to associate myself with your kind. Just don't expect any invitations to formal gatherings anytime soon. You also don't see any royalty, heads of state or high society with tattoos anytime soon.
Edit 2:........ Wow - more thumbs down...... How amusing! Let me put it in plain English: Tattoos are for peasants.
Edit 3: Who's the boss?
42 percent of managers said their opinion of someone would be lowered by that person's visible body art
81 percent of respondents think piercings in places other than the ears are unprofessional
76 percent of respondents believe visible tattoos are unprofessional
