All the sites recommended here are very good. I use them frequently, but one of the things I've discovered is smaller recipe - cooking sites that have unique, tested (tasted) recipes that are recommended by a lot of people.

Here are a few examples of what I mean:

If you like authentic mexican try http://www.cooking-mexican-recipes.com

Need crockpot recipes? http://www.homestyle-recipes.com

Want real restaurant recipes you can easily cook at home (not clones or copycats)? http://www.real-restaurant-recipes.com

I think it is really great fun and from my experience, well worth the effort to find these smaller (mom and pop) sites.

I have to second all the ones that said Epicurious.com as it has the best search and recipe tools that I have seen as well as the reader ratings and comments on each recipe. I also love some of the blog sites like Chocolate and Zucchini and Leite's Culinaria. The C.Z. blog author is writing a cookbook from the site. Leite's is a James Beard award-winner and has good food writing.

Lastly, there is my recipe site that has seasonal recipes and information on food issues. I'd love it if you stopped by.

I assume you mean for recipes. If so, I highly recommend www.epicurious.com. I love it because there are comments from people who tried it and they comment on it as well make recommendations for changes to make it even better. You can just put in a search term or search by categories.

www.allrecipes.com Great!

And you can click on "ingredient search" and put in ingredients you have on hand and it will come up with recipes to give you ideas for the ingredients you have!

My choices are:

http://www.foodnetwork.com/

http://www.epicurious.com/

http://yumyum.com/index.htm

http://www.about.com/

http://gourmetsleuth.com/index.asp

If you can't find it there, then I didn't help much.
