Myself that I believe in God when I don't see any signs that he is around and Im living a mediocre life right now. I have become sluttier since I stopped going to church so often but I kind of feel happier and lonlier at the same time.

nearly everyone goes through that - let me guess - you're between 18 and 21? if so, you are so normal, sounds like you will probably become more spiritual, though not necessary christian or a church goer fairly soon.
this kind of life is lonely. you feel special at first, but one night you'll be drinking with the guys and realize that not one of them would really take care of you when the chips are down, and no, holding your hair while you throw up doesn't count! just enjoy it, better to have fun now than be a little goody goody at church who's not feeling it. trust me, there's a girl like that at your old church, and she will be screwing around on her boyfriend/husband by the time summer's over if she hasn't done it already. you may feel a little slutty now, but that would make you a slut, a hypocrite, and a b*tch.

stop being so hard on yourself. if there are other girls in the group you hang with, talk to them about it, they probably feel the same way you do. it's gonna be okay, and you will be so glad that you gave yourself this experience when you are older.

take care.

You can't 'convince' yourself that you believe in God ... and what you are 'experiencing' is a 'crisis of faith' ... and we ALL can have those, no matter how 'much we believe' in our God. You gave your own 'answer' to this question, by the way ... you have become 'sluttier' since you stopped going to church so often. That makes you feel 'happier' (because you've 'been with someone') and also 'lonelier' because you 'know' inside yourself that having sex just to have sex isn't nearly as 'good' as 'having someone to love' ...
So, I'd say that you need to stop 'sleeping around' and start thinking about your 'future' and start looking for 'the one true love of your life.' It may take a good long while for you to find this 'one true love' but it will be 'well worth the wait' ... and if you can at least get to church twice a month, you can 'pray' to God for His help.

This is perhaps not the best place to find an answer. If you are genuinely attempting to convince yourself to believe in God, perhaps asking a clergy-person might be best. In that same vein, I see no point in using a lack of going to church as a reason for being "sluttier." There is no reason to say lack of religion has made you "sluttier." It is a choice that you have made.

One way or the other, I would recommend speaking to someone face to face - someone with some knowledge of the kinds of issues you are facing. Perhaps a counselor of some sort or a clergyman. They might be able to give you more guidance than faceless, nameless people online.

If you wish to believe in God, you will find a way. People have always suffered, and yet they believe in divinity.

First, focus on what you do have...the blessings in your life. God has never promised believers that they will be happy, live a good life, never suffer, etc. He only promises us salvation through his son Jesus Christ. So, begin with prayer. Ask God to increase your faith and have mercy on your soul.

The more you turn from God, the more Satan will pull you down. But true happiness is spiritual happiness...and this brings the peace that so many people desire yet can never find.

May God bless you...he tells us "seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be open." Trust in him and you'll find him.

Get into the word more. I recommend reading "God doesn't Believe In Athiests" by Ray Comfort. Though your not an Athiest, it is still a good read.

Check http://needGod.com/ Take this quiz. It will make you realize why we all need God.

I pray that the Lord will guide you. :)

Well, I don't believe in god and it is lonley at the begining. I don't think that promiscuous sex will make you happy in the long run either. It takes a while for you to find the answers for yourself. Stop looking outside for answers to happiness and look inside you. What do you want from this life?

You've given yourself the answer. The absence of God in your life has lead you down the road to temptation. Was your life mediocre when you walked with the Lord? Probably not. You probably were self aware and sure of his love. Go back to church.

The best way is to give God's teachings and way of life a try. Follow God's commandments as best as possible, prayer often and sincerely to ask for his guidance, and watch to see what happens to your life. If you see positive changes, if you see that you are being blessed, then you will have the evidence you seek to be convinced.

Please, whatever you do, use protection.

You cannot convince yourself of what is not there. Either you beleive, or you dont.
the loneliness youre experiencing might be a result of being "slutty". Ya know - why buy the cow when you get the milk for free? Youre better than that. Make the guys wait - youre worth the wait, remember? If they cannot wait, it is they who are not worth your effort.

With thinking like that, who needs a God?
