Cheating is not only physical, but mental. It all starts in the brain somewhere, in which you had to think about wanting to do it first. If you're in a committed relationship with someone, and you emotionally attach yourself to someone else (confiding in them with personal stuff that should be entrusted with your significant other) some will say that is cheating. It is merely the first step. You'll start to see that person in a whole new light. You'll want to go a little further with them. It can lead to kissing or sex. Wherever it leads, it all started on the emotional level, your mind. After a whille, you stop using your head. How else does the show Cheaters make tons of money?

It depends on who you ask. Some people would consider even looking at another person of the opposite sex cheating, others would not call it cheating until you come in contact with another person. I think everyone would agree that kissing and anything past kissing would definately be cheating. This would include cyber sex on the internet, that is cheating also.

That depends on the context of the situation.
If you copy someone else's work without reference that is called plagiarism. It is prohibited in most colleges and universities as well as high schools and the workplace.
The other type deals with people and relationships and that has to do with what you do behind your partners back that will come back to him/her to hurt him/her in the end. Evidently, the best way to avoid this is to truly communicate and brak up when yu really don't want to be together anymore.
Cheating can also be lying if you say something that people will find out in the future to be wrong. That can hurt your reputation if you were an elected official.

If you are on here asking, you are probably cheating, or know someone who is.
Having a committed relationship and stepping outside of that relationship for any reason other than completely platonic reasons is cheating.
An emotional affair is still an affair. As is having intentions with someone else outside of the realm of a committed relationship.

I personally consider cheating as having emotional feelings for someone else other than who you're in a relationship with. Talking to someone else and having a romantic connections behind your other halfs back. YOU DON'T HAVE TO HAVE SEX TO CONSIDER IT CHEATING. Kissing someone else, meeting up with someone else, having emotional feelings for someone else while in a relationship IS CHEATING!!!

Everyone has their own definition of cheating. There is such a thing as emotional infidelity...I think my definition of cheating would be the intent of someone trying to get with someone else. Physically, mentally, and emotionally.

I think it is not considered cheating unless you are constantly seeing someone else over and over behind the back of your boyfriend/girlfriend. If you are secretly meeting with someone else and having dinner and/or sexual relations, then it is cheating.
A one night stand is not cheating. Flirting is not cheating. Live a little!

If you are having any kind of relationship with someone else that you wouldn't want them to find out about it is cheating.

If you have to ask the question you have already begun cheating. It all starts in the mind, then it`s too late.
