It may pass through her digestive system, but it could cause her a major problem in the form of an intestinal blockage - you should take her to the vet to be on the safe side.

Keep your fingers crossed and your eyes on him. If he shows a loss of appetite or vomiting, or any unusual behavior, get him to the vet. They'll likely need to operate to remove the string.
Or he may poop it out. You'll just have to wait and see which it'll be.
I got lucky the last time I was negligent enough to leave Poppy unattended with some string. I can't tell you how thrilled I was to find it in the litter box!

It should pass though next time she does a poo as long as it does not get tangled up. If it is not there when she next goes take her to a vet to be safe.
My dog ate a chicken and the elastic that goes round the legs, i only realised what he had done when i had to pull the string from his backside when he went to the loo!

If it's not passed through her system then it could become entangled in her intestines, which could be very serious. Watch for any vomiting after eating or abdominal pain. If she seems at all under the weather, take her straight to your vet.

dont panic. how much did your cat eat? if its about 5 or 6 inches, you'll be okay. it sounds like a lot, but my cats always find one way or another to get to some string. they usually just poop it out. if it was a foot or more, watch her. if she shows any signs of pain or choking, get her to a vet. try to stay calm, cats dont like seeing their slaves ;-) upset. hope this helps!

my cats eat some strange things too. don't worry too much, it should pass through in a few days. however, if you see that she becomes constipated or has very runny stool, you might want to take her to a vet.

Sure, i guess she will be fine. If she manage to swollen without shocking, she will manage to get them out! Be aware of the feces, she will not digest it so it probably will appear on the poo today or tomorrow.
