Well basically the title, how do 2 people get over one, or both, of them cheating in a relationship if they both want to stay together but one, or both, are mad as hell about it?

It all has to do with trust. Can you both ever trust that other person again? Why did you stray in the first place? What can you do to make sure it does not happen again? Sorry, but this relationship sounds horrible to begin with. I don't think it will work out if there is not honesty or trust in a relationship. Stop fooling yourselves and grow up. Remember what comes around goes around.

DC C ... I hope both of you can get over it, but the cheating incident(s) will never be completely forgotten. At the next sign of trouble, the matter of the cheating may be raised again and although it might not hurt, the past cheating surely cannot help.

they need to really be ready to accept the other person for what they've done. They need to be open with the other persn about their feelings. The other person needs to be understanding and give the grieving person as much time as they need to heal. There are alot of feelings involved when something like this happens and the other person seems to never quite grasp the pain the other person is going through. It can take a long time and a lot of arguing to get through this. make her or him know that they werent missing anything it just happened and you love them. your sorry it'll never happen agian ,and mean it

It doesn't sound good to me, especially if both were cheating. I think we need to know if it is one or both and not either or.

well if a guy does it - it isn't that bad because he is just having fun - but if a woman cheats that would be hard to get over - after all she would be a whore
